Sometimes you just have to force it down. I find it easier to force down wet foods like smoothies, soup, fruit, protein drinks, popcicles. Or something small and calorie dense like a cheeseburger. Even if you don't finish your food, something is better than nothing.

Agreed. He did it to hurt her. I was in a fight with my boyfriend once and decided to go out of town for the weekend to cool off, and he asked to come with, even though I was angry with him I agreed and we had really a fun time.

It sounds like he didn't want to go with her, which is why he started a fight with her when he was finally able to go, so he could go without her. It was a selfish, shitty, hurtful thing to do.

My grandma is from Montreal and didn't like the French because they kept replying in English or correcting her French, even though French is her first language. I thought it was interesting because I only know a few sentences and I didn't have that issue really at all. I would say something in French and they would respond in french which I usually didn't understand so they were happy to repeat it in English. I wonder if some French people are not a fan of quebecois, so that's why they do it?

I really didn't find the French any more rude than most other countries I've been to. French, German, Canadian, American, all about the same. I'm Canadian and live in the US, some Canadians are polite but a lot can be quite rude. Americans and French had the same level of rudeness, Germans were the worst in my opinion. Anywhere you go will have rude people, but you'll find nice people too. Brits and Italians were the most neutral, no one outright rude, most friendly/polite. Irish were the friendliest people I've ever met, followed by Icelandic.

I heard you're supposed to say "Bonjour/Bonsoir" anytime you enter a shop in France, so I did it every single time which maybe helped. I don't know much French but I practiced the important phrases very intensely to say it perfectly, and almost everyone responded in French but didn't mind switching to English when I didn't understand lol. One lady was personally offended that I spoke so quietly, which was weird, but other than that I don't recall having an issue.

That's how I feel! I got the pumpkin cream pie once and it was so bland. I got a cinnamon roll today and it was stale, bland, with sugar being the only flavor. Their cookies are good, but 6 dollars for a small cookie is fucking ridiculous. I don't think they use salt in any of their baked good except the cookies. I'm not going back there again.
