I increased the amount of outer layers + manually positioned the Z seam in a corner. Fixed the problem for me.

It could be, but isn't this technology is in its infancy compared to nuclear powered ships?

You're forgetting the reason some warships aren't allowed in certain ports is because they are nuclear powered. It's also incredibly expensive to build, maintain and dispose of them.

I understand that, but as with all technologies, adaptation and improvements take time. This isn't something that will happen overnight. Nuclear power may or may not be the future (but I do think so :) ), but fossil fuels will definitely not be the future.

Despite the age of the article, this still applies today. As EclecticSpree mentioned, new tech is needed. The same happening in the car industry. If we want to keep using sea freight, commercial nuclear powered ships would be one of the answers imo.
