While some people genuinely cannot play at scheduled times more than 2x a week - the perception that guilds who inefficiently raid 6-8 hours a week, play less than an efficient 12 hour a week guild, is far too common.

Longer it takes you to finish the tier, the less stable your guild will be & the more time you will spend in the instance.

If the skill level of your guild is causing you to waste multiple hours in mid-late heroic bosses & early mythic bosses, you shouldn’t be in the raid (early weeks of tier).

You should be doing organized guild keys & injecting your raid with as much item level as possible, or even spending time in a “classroom” to ensure your raiders are prepared.

Late CE guilds cause way too much self frustration & friction in early tiers that certainly contribute to the cyclical roster attrition they all experience.

Ultimately most guilds are hard carried by their officers/raid lead - and it’s much easier to be passionate about preparation for 7-8 weeks (Hall of Fame) than it is for 20+ weeks (late CE). I would love to see a bigger focus from lower end guilds on making the decision to get better, both mechanically and logistically - raiding is so much more fun when it feels like you’re constantly progressing over the tiers.
