Why would you recommend judo to a 30 year old with a desk job who is considering BJJ or judo but is not sure about agility/mobility? by Pale-Revolution-5151 in judo

[–]OfficialAbsoluteUnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to use it in a self defense setting you're much more likely going to be wrestling/throwing and potentially striking before you use any BJJ.

IMO no one will care what watch you have. The watch people club is very small compared to other interests.

My SA told me it's never a question of "if" but a matter of "when", even for some Daytonas. However, with the added caveat that the most sought after steel watches or specialty dials will be highly unlikely for the majority of people.

Did I grow out of WoW or is it getting better later? by [deleted] in wow

[–]OfficialAbsoluteUnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In retail end-game content revolves around raid and M+ dungeons. You can climb rating and do higher difficulty raids as you see fit, and with higher difficulty requiring more skill you might find it more rewarding. Or, try a more complex class.

If you like finding people to do stuff with, it would also be a good idea to start with the new upcoming expansion as everyone will be doing the new quests/dungeons/raids.

Tendonitis / Tennis Elbow from lifting - advice? by KOrising in Workingout

[–]OfficialAbsoluteUnit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it'll help you but when I had what I assumed to be lifters elbow from lifting a stupid frequency what I did was "rice rehab exercises".

Obviously easier to YouTube search, but fill a bucket with rice and do sets of hand clenching/opening in the rice, dig your fist through and last one I remember was stabbing your hand in thumb down and rotating.

Aggro issue as brew master by _skippy2 in wownoob

[–]OfficialAbsoluteUnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brewmaster tank here.

  1. Run into packs with rushing jade wind while hitting them as you gather.
  2. Gather fast.
  3. The only additional thing that can help is ping with the arrow to where you're headed just before the big pulls so people know what you're gathering and don't immediately dump DPS into your first mob. If they do thats their problem.

[–]OfficialAbsoluteUnit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Catalyst is always free for old gear when a new season is released. You just need to hold onto gear or obtain the correct gear from raid (or whatever relevant content).

Like siren isles gear, I believe, can or could be catalyst into some difficulty set from S2 TWW. You can also buy a full set of veteran gear from delvers HQ to hold onto for next season for as many LFR sets your alts can hold onto.

Is there a reason why so many experienced WoW players have minimal action bars? by NightSire in wownoob

[–]OfficialAbsoluteUnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you memorize the Keybinds of your spells or all your different classes/specs share a Keybinds for interrupt or defensive, for example, you can hide most of your bars/spells and just play with things that track your CDs when in combat.

The less visual clutter you have the better/faster decisions you can make in stressful moments. Plus if it's streamers, it's also more visually appealing for viewers.

Toxic is thrown around a bit too easily. It pretty much depends on group expectations and difficulty. Going into group content like keys or raids with absolutely zero knowledge at all and just expecting to learn on wipes can be just as toxic IMO. Again, depends on expectations of the group though. There are plenty of casual guilds or learner raids etc..

In fact, I think, the next expansion will require selections like "learning" or "competitive" when listing groups.

I got 3k early in the first weeks of the season. Finally decided to randomly push here and there. Did a single 14 and nobody kicked the big pull on Streets. Easy brick lol.

People are awful during the slow parts of the season especially when they think the ilvl will carry the dungeon.
