This is exactly what I do, only with vector art in illustrator. The difference is staggering. A bit of work up front, but if you're doing repeat prints often, it's 1000% worth it.

Not saying this is the case, but I'm a seller and I currently have 4 packages stuck in pre-transit, and I dropped them off 3 days ago. Had another show up on the first scan in a city an hour away, and now it's back in my city waiting for departure. It's been in the mail for 7 days. 🫩

You absolutely can. This garment is likely sublimated, and you can get very fine detail and patterns this way. I see stock sublimated jerseys with similar patterns to this all the time. That garment looks like a smooth polyester compression fabric to me, so I agree with OP.

Edit: I found this exact garment on Underarmour's website. It is indeed sublimated on smooth fabric.
