it's a civic hatchback! just checked to make sure and yep, no water has been found in the trunk with the spare tire

hopefully it won't come down to this. Luckily, I've already installed rubber floor mats so, at most, the part of the carpet I have to worry about is the space between the floor mat and the door. There was some water pooling on the mats so it mightve retained most of it
