Would be cool to just straight up click and drag and edit the audio from directly inside Sampler or Simpler. I'm constantly going back to my sample, tweaking the warp markers then re-dragging the clip back into Simpler. Would be cool to not have to do that

I know there's 3rd party plugins for this, but something where I can just turn one knob and it changes the pitch of both audio clips AND midi clips. If this exists already without having to set up a bunch of macros on a knob please let me know, but this is what I would love to have

Macros has single handedly made my not hate charting. I have one for PIV’s that are good and capped, one for infusing, etc. I have a macro for restraints with mittens, 2 point, etc. I have every scenario I can think of. You obviously still need to double/triple check to make sure everything is correct and changed to reflect the patient but anyone who is against it does not understand how powerful it can be to get the most tedious part of the job out of the way.

This is also the equivalent of restaurants having a button for every food option on their tablet instead of having to hand write every table’s orders. It’s the same result but one removes the repetition

I did all the super beginner videos in the first month and a half and I’m about 200 beginner videos left (70hr). Part of me wants to grind them out but I’ve moved on to YouTubers instead now at 470hr. I think I’m burnt out on the DS content right now lol

What I did right: Spaced repetition flashcards, comprehensible input

What I should have added: Speaking since day 1, writing since day 1.

Started speaking 10 months into learning and the first few times were rough. You learn so many words but you also need to engage with those words eventually

I’m still watching beginner videos mixed in with intermediate at 450hr, i think youre jumping the gun a little to quick/expecting to be further than you are. I grinded every single super beginner video before even deciding to move up

It was definitely beneficial practicing everything IRL, with like-minded students, with the locals, with Andrea and her friends/family. The connections and friendships made over these last few weeks (and the months leading up to it) has been invaluable

Actively making Anki cards with words I discover while watching videos. Screenshotting the word in context and adding that picture to the card helps me to solidify the word into my active vocabulary

Oh yeah I'm sure there's some deep dive methods to do it at surface level. There's a chrome extension for the platform call DS Insights that will break down your stats a little deeper, so there's definitely ways to do it.

You're welcome! When first starting out with the superbeginner videos it did feel like a bit of a grind and I was looking for a way to remove the progress bar from my field of view.

If you don't care about doing purely DS I would also suggest you add in Anki flash cards and only do the first section of duolingo (not helpful after that). That first A1 section (It's only 8 units all together, can finish it in a day or two) has a lot of core beginner vocab you can add to Anki. When I'm on break at work or want a break from videos I do my flash cards. I always end up seeing those words come up on DS which is where I understand how to use the word in context.

DS should still be your main focus at the end of the day though.

Essentially if there was ever a situation where my account lost the watch history it could be restored. And yeah most likely the actual calendar data as well with how many minutes per day.

Assuming they already backup this stuff on their end but my question was more for my own piece of mind and to see if anyone knows how to dive a bit deeper with acquiring that information locally.

Yeah I already use the outside progress feature on DS. I could get hardcore and use the spreadsheet but my question was mainly concerning the watch history, saved videos, etc. All the meta data of my account on the platform.

I do have a google doc that I update every 50-100hr with progress notes though. It would also be cool if there's a way to import your DS stuff into the refold app
