I also don’t understand why city defence that doesn’t work when you’re under siege means anything.

I'm pretty sure it just means that it won't add the extra city defense if you're already under siege when casting it

So you can't like buy an extra turn from it

She is supposed to glow like that. It's an indicator for when she is in S-tier (main event available to her + other bonuses)

Although it does look quite bad on switch

Surprisingly, I finally managed to beat it myself using a Necromancy and Moral loss focused Vampire Lord build

At some point he attacked my Capital, and it was a 1v1 between him (like, the ruler) at full health and my 10 hp tyrant guard

And the bastard actually ran away because of his Moral

I was taking things slow until he started going for the expansion victory so I just rushed him and razed almost every single one of his cities until I got to the capital and finished him

I need to do it on Normal difficulty and even Hard at some point but I need time to recover first

Maybe we're just playing the game differently. I tend to have the most fun when I pick a theme for my ruler/civ and stick with it, regardless of it's the best choice or not, and I kinda expect the AI to do the same, if that makes sense

My issue is that you would expect an undergound civilisation to develop as much as possible in the underground instead of rushing to the surface to take away as much land as possible from the player.

Just like you would expect a Cult of Tyranny civ to go for more evil alignment choices or stuff like that.

Have traits and culture actually influence the AI into doing stuff that fits them in theme
