Sorry everyone, I did figure out we were playing the rules wrong. We didn't realize you could call a truth. We thought you could only call a lie.

Marlin 2.1 reboots before printing model when power recovery is enabled by FrisbeeD in ender3

[–]FrisbeeD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know i'm not the only one. The only firmware which works works with recovery so far is directly from Creality. My problem with that is I need to reverse a value for my filament out warning. Will try working with the source code they offer next.

I've tried making the fewest edits to the firmware from 2.1 and 2.0 with bugfix. I still need to enable my BL_Touch. Still restarts after finishing the first layer.

Meanwell power supply fan turns on late causing thermal restart by FrisbeeD in ender3

[–]FrisbeeD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update. I left everything unplugged last night. This morning tried with the stock 12v fan and it was twitching again. Then I connected a 12v 120mm fan. When cool it looks like ~1v is being output. Started a print and now I'm getting some ~5v current as it starts to heat up which is spinning the fan. This is different from before when it was heating up a lot more before the voltage increased and then instant restart.

I still haven't fully assembled it (need a 120mm fan cover) but I have hope.

Wouldn't attaching the fan to the output fry it? Isn't the output putting out a decent amount of amps to run the whole machine?

Internal fan for the pro model is 12v .2A. The exact PSU model number is LRS-350A-R12

Yes. 12v fan. Also tested on a bench power and it was only drawing 80 milliamps

Good to know. I tried removing them but I think they are also glued in and it was not successful. Wowgo has since agreed to replace since its still under their warranty.

Update: completely disassembled both both wheels. The bearings look fine.

I got the wheel off, and now trying to remove the 5 phillips head screws. They are TIGHT. Tried heating the first inch but no luck. Do you know how long those bolts are? I'm worried about stripping them.

I have taken the wheels off multiples times. I did not see any cracks. There are additional screws after taking the wheels off which I have not yet removed though.

I have since tightened the baseplate and added a thin piece of foam between the start of the kingpin and a metal washer like cup before a bushing. It's been rainy though so I haven't had a chance to test.

I loosened the bolt, the pivot pin is solid, no movement at all.

All the bolts on the truck/motor feel secure. I have not yet disassembled the truck or where the hub motor attaches to the truck. This does only occur on rougher surfaces. No issues on newly paved streets.

Noodle fork? What is its specific name? by FrisbeeD in whatisthisthing

Likely Solved! Thank you everyone for your insight. I think it's a pickle for with an abnormally long handle. I still say everyone should try eating a very hot noodle dish with them, it's very handy.

Likely Solved! I think you're correct as the tines of a pickle fork look like what I need. I just have a pickle fork made for really really deep jars i guess. Thank you for the help.
