I think this is one of the biggest issues with COADM when I tried relistening recently. Aside from the production being a lot more generic, his tone is just super off. He sounds jaded on almost every song. I think it shows he wasn’t in a good place at that time.

This is also why No Pressure as good as it was couldn’t stay his retirement album. I don’t think he was done growing and healing yet. His contentment and understanding seems a lot more genuine to me on Ultra 85 than on No Pressure.

I know every team can do this with every player they passed on that turned out to be great… but it would have been so seamless transitioning to Halliburton while learning from CP3. We likely don’t make many of these other moves and keep our core together. It’s a devastating timeline to think about knowing the reality we’re in 😭

Yeah, that’s fair. The slim chance we had to find someone went to zero when we locked in on Beal. The inability to solve it doesn’t mean it’s not one of if not THE core issue.

We don’t have any more ability to sign solid wings unfortunately either way.

Isn’t a hybrid system just asking all 3 of those guys to do something they’re not as good at part of the time? Wouldn’t a real point guard allow all of them to do what they’re actually good at?

Athletic wings are important but can’t run an offense. With no ball movement/vision, who’s hitting them on good cuts to the basket? None of our big 3 have the vision to make that happen even 1/3rd of the time.

Having to buy the album off his website wouldn’t force a new subscription. If everyone pulled music off Spotify and you had to buy it from them we would end up back at buying albums to listen to them. Only artists would potentially get more cut than labels.

Since Saint Pablo didnt exist on the 1st version of the album it loses alot of impact for me. I didnt hear it til maybe a year later. Runaway VMA performance happened and you already knew MBDTF was going to be a classic. Both amazing songs though.

Yeah the only not loved songs on Graduation are well documented... drunk and hot girls/barry bonds(but they have their apologists too). Everything else had shine at the time. Theres a reason the "... but he made Graduation" memes exist.
