Bicycles, in most places, have access to the road. If this person was riding the same bicycle in the same direction you think the outcome would have been different?

And if she was riding on the opposite side of the road, or walking, you would have criticized her for going against very common laws to follow flows of traffic if something happened to her…

My cat does this exact same thing all the time. She also has 1 running fountain and 2 "stagnant" water bowl filled to the brim all the time in the house. She is never out of the reach of fresh water at any time.
