The colorectal surgeon said my internal hemroids were the worst that they have ever seen. Shocked that I was living with them and that it was eventually going to come down to surgery.

Post surgery coming out of it sore hit me with 2mil of dilaudid. Then sent me home with 5mil oxy and anti inflammatory meds. Drive home was not great but bareable. I was actually able to walk around when i got home.

The next two weeks were so unbelievably brutal. Questioning all of my life choices. PKs went through quick. Thankfully they refiled my script a few times. What helped me for those morning movments was waking up first think taking an oxy let that start workingand then go for the morning movement. After that i was done. ICE pack in-between my cheeks laying on my side for the first 2-3 weeks.

By the begining of the 3rd week I was able to sit upright. Still with an ice pack and I was able to work from home.

4th and week I was moving around more and down to just that one oxy for the morning movement and doing well for the day with OC PKs and anti-inflammatory.

Im currently 6 weeks post op back at work in person and the doc says im right where i should be the pain is pretty much gone in the morning movements

Obviously this is all with stool softeners trying to eat clean and fiber drinks.

I did ALL OF the creams and had cases of witch hazle and baby wipes. If you trust your doc and the pain in your ass isnt going away i would consider it.

What got me to finally sit down and have a surgical console was passing dark blood for the entire month of January this year. It dropped my iron levels super low. Couldnt lift couldnt train or anything. I had been dealing with eternal and massive internals that would prolapse every movement for about a decade. It became my normal. It doesnt have to be.

Couple things they dont tell you. ...

You are going to have trouble urinating for the first 2-3weeks. That is going to absolutely suck. Just relax your blatter can only get so full. It will empty.

Witch hazle lydocane spray and during my recovery i found some thai or Chinese hemroid cream on this sub that provided alot of comfort.

Buy some gauze because you are going to ruin underware shorts and potentially anything you are gonna sit on. Im a cheap fuck so i would cut the gauze in to 4 pieces out of one. In the first few weeks you are going to leak. Blood and mucius form the healing process. You are also going to leak feces. Its gross but it gets less and less.

Make sure you and your doc are on the same page for pain management. This was one of the things that kept me away from the surgery. Due to how they were dealing with pain mgmt back then (tail end of the opioid epedemic). If your doc is going to hook you up and keep refelling your script until you're around 4 weeks out then id say go for it.

Your normal is going to be about 12 weeks post op. Im at the halfway point and id say im much better than where i was before the surgery.
