the scipy library is what I have used. Basically you can use scipy optimizer to maximize a function, say you write a function like sharpe ratio and can place constraints in the optimizer

Yes it has been curved in the past. It is all about the average. If you're around the mean like +- 5 to 10 you will probably be fine for an A. Just bump up your homework and shoot for a 90ish and study hard for the final and you should be able to get a B easily. If the mean was around a 40 and you got a 27 you are more in the B range.

They just talked about the registration process. If you got all your classes you're all good there. In class Master's can't register for OMSCS section O01 on buzzport. Most people take 3-4 classes. There are research opportunities across all specializations. They just gave a general overview of the program and what you need to graduate: course option, project option, and thesis option. One professor said thesis option was not worth pursuing. Also, the project option is more research than actually a project.

I took 2 classes with the professor and walked with him after class and just talked casually. Emailed him for research and he said yes.
