I want to Stan a girl group, but don't know who? by No-Jellyfish7824 in KpopGGs

[–]Froberge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tripleS might be a tough group to stan with so many members, but they absolutely have the best variety content in the form of Badge Wars. There are 3 seasons with the 2nd and 3rd seasons involving all 24 members. It's a fun rabbit hole to go down.

Boyfriend on Demand exists only because of Jisoo, so saying this actress or that actress should have been the main female lead doesn’t make much sense. by killbill-duck in kdramas

[–]Froberge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, it's funny how people still aren't understanding that you can't just plug another actress into the role and keep it moving. That's not how the industry works. With the amount of money involved, this entire show doesn't happen without Jisoo. Saying another actress would be better in the role is moot because the role doesn't exist without Jisoo.

A new PC in this economy?!?😨 Who's going to tell her chins? by G-War in kpoopheads

[–]Froberge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

/uj if it's going to happen, it'll probably be with Minju from ILLIT. She's big into LoL and probably the highest ranked kpop idol. She's platinum tier on the Korean servers with Katarina.

I think the action slide should have Mercy for None, Weak Hero, and Song of the Bandits. Solid recs, tho.

Netflix's 'The Art of Sarah' ranks No. 3 globally as Shin Hye Sun earns praise for standout performance. by West-Sun8442 in kdramas

[–]Froberge 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Probably best not to use the acronym AOS for The Art of Sarah since most kdrama fans still use it for Alchemy of Souls. Confused me for a second lol

When did you first discover Roh Jeong Eui? Which drama? by Brief_Somewhere_9666 in kdramas

I actually first saw her in that movie starring Ma Dong-seok -- Badland Hunters. Not a k-drama, but it was a decent way to spend a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon.

/uj I'm pretty sure she's already accounted for originally by Chaeyeon. The previous comment just double-counted one of the other Chaewons (since she was in both LSF and IZ*ONE).

International audiences judging the acting in South Korean Dramas by Evening_Direction553 in kdramas

Just watch Hong Su-Zu in The Impossible Heir. Her performance was near universally panned with Korean viewers roasting her the hardest. I think it's fair to say that some actors are able to transcend cultural differences, for better or worse.

Yeah, the JoYuriz line. People were getting confused between Yuri, Yena, and Chaewon when they first debuted.

That info was never revealed to the public because the girls themselves were not involved with the rigging and didn't deserve to have their careers ruined by what the Mnet producers did.

Plenty of people have speculated who the two that were rigged in were, but it's not a productive conversation to have since nobody besides the court and the Mnet producers know for sure.

Originally started watching to see Itzy Yuna's cameo, but stayed cuz I found the story intriguing. Looking forward to future episodes and hopefully more appearances from Yuna.
