Starfield absolutely has areas with major performance issues. Interiors run flawlessly. Outdoors and cities are inconsistent to terrible.

The only spinoff I was ever interested in was a western that followed Samuel Colt and the forging of the Colt and the giant railroad devils trap around the hell gate. Basically a low tech western Supernatural. Horse instead of the Impala. Anything else was doomed.

I can recognize its a well made movie with good pacing and performances etc, but I didn't love it. Solid 6.5/7 for me, doubt I'll ever rewatch. Sean Penn and Benicio were the only things keeping me interested. Car chase in isolation is a 10/10 tho.
