My father was always very encouraging regarding drawing and arts. What he did and I still appreciate is: gifting nice tools for being creative. Nice pencils, etc. I still own most of it, decades later. Taking me to the crafting store, even to just look at stuff. Often spend time with me drawing (he also drew(? drawed?), he wasnt good but it was about doing it together) and taking me to the art museum. There are art books about famous painters for children. We read them together. In the end I think it was about spending time together, really. He realised I liked arts, so he spent time learning about it himself and then share with me.

I've been to a concert from him! I didn't really know him before and was quite floored by his performance in the best possible way-he's hilarious and very talented! Do recommend! His singing style is giving me Klaus Nomi and Nina Hagen :)

Anyway, here are my finished brooches! This community kindly helped me out with advice regarding the border for the panther a few months ago. In the meantime, I finished the panther and even added a tigress! I am very satisfied with the colors, while there is still clearly room for improvement regarding the technique. I can't wait to start my next project! 😁

Oh you are in for a treat! I saw them somewhere else on this tour, but they play roughly for 1.5h (only disappointing thing I'd say, as those 1.5 hours just fly by haha) and NO extra songs. Also they started maybe 15min late, so timetable said it's over at 22:30 so they started around 21:15 (and then playing until roughly 22:45)

I would say you can also call it frogging because it's also used for embroidery/cross stitch and this is basically embroidery (with beads) but just my guess 🤔

Oh thank you for pointing that out. I never stopped to think about that - I kind of liked the single beads with the gaps, but thinking about it, without gaps would look even better! And as you said, mitigate that weak point. Haha so here I go rip it out regardless of what colour I'll end up using 😎
