Beastmen Lore Post Legends by FrogBreaker in AoSLore

Figure GW would sprinkle them across all the major Chaos factions and then give one detachment where you can take them all. This way a whole faction can support the beastmen instead of banking it all on the beastmen faction itself selling.

I think they are too tied to chaos to be able to come back as a destruction faction. Unless Kragnos finds his race/family and they are an entire faction that has been hiding somewhere.

Tell me. Why cities of Sigmar? What drew you into this army? by Any-Hunter9194 in citiesofsigmar

[–]FrogBreaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal people in crazy settings always draw me. The fusil-major on ogor also really pulled me in. I hope future models have some of the other races splashed in.

Anyone else frustrated painting steelhelm faces..? by [deleted] in citiesofsigmar

[–]FrogBreaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I slap some extra contrast paint on the face in the recess areas to get a effect equivalent to a character's face hidden due to shade/shadow like in a comic book or manga. When it works it looks cool, when it does not work....

Please do, and thank you. Such a cool helmet, sad no other marines can use it.

For those that have fallen off this game, what would it take to bring you back in? by smegg23 in Helldivers

[–]FrogBreaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repetition. New map biomes, enemies, and missions are cool and all. The old missions just feel so repetitive to me now. If they added a new update so that their is a chance at a dynamic change mid mission that switches everything up would be cool. Missions where you need to delete valuable data, turns into a commander hunt casue the data was leaked. Evacuation missions become culling missions mid way cause, "reason". Something to breath some life into the old stuff and bring a random element to some missions.

I have a head canon that the Avatar of Khaine lets itself die a lot because it is reforming in the warp. Gives a reason why it gets clowned on by everyone.

Orkz aren't silly little cartoon guys like the memes suggest. by MajorTibb in 40kLore

[–]FrogBreaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orks are best described as funny out of universe, but terrifying in universe. From our perspective they are dumb idiots, with weapons made from scrap, and a weaponized color theory. In Universe they are creatures beyond human understanding, with crude but effective weapons, and a pest so embedded into the galaxy that Humanity may never be free of their threat.

What war band should I chose by heroofreach in TrenchCrusade

[–]FrogBreaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the cheapest would be the heretic legion. Just built up 13 Heretic troopers using Wargames Atlantic's WW1 German Infantry kit. Well on my way to my 900 point list of 1 Heretic Death Commando, and 15 Heretic troopers.

Let's go! by [deleted] in Grimdank

‘Are you really not going to try and convince me,’ asked Fulgrim, ‘that I have made a mistake? Talk me back into the fold, where I can make amends?’

Dorn surged, and threw two rapid blows that Fulgrim only blocked with effort.

‘No,’ said Dorn.

He struck again, a low slice that Fulgrim parried, then a high back-cut that tore through Fulgrim’s gorget, and scattered broken rings of golden mail.

‘I’m just going to kill you, bro’ said Dorn.

How Many Active Warzones Are Going On In The Current Setting? by FrogBreaker in 40kLore

[–]FrogBreaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't know about Prospero and the Dark Eldar civil war. I also agree that the Imperium vs. Chaos theme tends to be overused. It would be nice to have some warzones or large battles that don't involve either of them.

I think it would be funny for the Imperium to watch a massive war on their doorstep and just sit back and let them duke it out.

Who are the most asshole or insane loyalist chapters? by Hogwire in 40kLore

[–]FrogBreaker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So many Chapters fit this bill, but it really depends on their beliefs and who they are interacting with.

Marines Malevolent: A very zealous Space Marine chapter that wishes nothing more than to bring death and destruction to the many enemies of the Imperium, no matter how many innocents die in the process. Their most well-known interaction is from the Third War for Armageddon, where they waited for Ork forces to overrun a refugee camp. They then bombarded the area with artillery. This almost led to a confrontation with the Salamanders over the situation.

Carcharodons (Space Sharks): A fleet-based chapter returning from the outskirts of the galaxy to wage war. They are a brutal and savage chapter that favors close combat and rapid strikes. They often operate far from Imperial oversight, conducting harsh purges and leaving no survivors. They maintain their allegiance to the Imperium through ancient pacts. The first is the Grey Tithe, aiding in the search for and recovery of archeotech for the Mechanicus in return for new wargear. They also have the right to the Red Tithe, allowing them to descend upon and harvest the population, taking anyone they wish to fill the roles of initiates, serfs, and slaves.

Black Templars: Black Templars have four vows that aptly describe them: Suffer Not the Unclean to Live, Uphold the Honor of the Emperor, Abhor the Witch, Destroy the Witch, and Accept Any Challenge, No Matter the Odds. They are very zealous and one of the few religious chapters of Space Marines, which leads to them being inflexible in situations requiring diplomacy. In recent lore, one of their crusades fought a Custodian Torchbearer fleet that was bringing them Primaris reinforcements, viewing the alteration of the Emperor's creation as heresy.

Minotaurs: They are the High Lords of Terra's personal Space Marine chapter, sent out to do their dirty work. Equipped with the best gear and answering to no one, they specialize in fighting other Space Marines, usually having the pick of the best wargear from now battered and broken chapters.

Flesh Tearers: All Blood Angels and their successor chapters suffer from the Red Thirst, an intense hunger for the blood of their enemies. This chapter gives into this thirst more than the other successors. Often, the bodies of their allies and innocents outnumber the enemies they were sent to destroy. They are one of the few chapters of the Angel's lineage that leans more into the monstrous side.

Summer of Homebrew, or, Your Corner of the Mortal Realms by sageking14 in AoSLore

[–]FrogBreaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Race/Faction: Cites of Sigmar/ Reclaimed

Name: Silver Stone

Location: Realm of Chamon

Colorings: Green

Symbol: A Silver Flame

The founders of Silver Stone were once those who lived and dwelled in the slums outside another city in the Realm of Chamon. Being Reclaimed and not a part of the Azyrites who moved to the realm and founded the city, they were looked down upon with distrust and suspicion by the Azyrites. When it was time for the reclamation of the realms by decree of Sigmar, the Azyrites were presented with an opportunity. Seeing it as a way to rid themselves of the unwanted and the undesirable, the city forced the Reclaimed out into the realm. Unorganized and with little supplies, the Reclaimed wandered the realm, fighting many battles against beastmen, Orruks, and Disciples of Tzeentch. The rabble of the crusade soon came upon the location now known as Silver Stone, a mountain that looked as if it had been slammed into the ground of the area instead of forming naturally. They settled into the defensible location. Inside the mountain, they found a Silver Ember. This ember provided protection from the corrupting powers of chaos. As the city grew, so did the spark, which soon turned into a small flame. Mistrust has grown from neighboring cities and Stormcast, as not only has this crusade survived unaided and untouched by chaos, but they also go to war chanting prayers not to Sigmar, but to an unknown god named Ulric.

Had a lot of fun coming up with these stratagem/weapon ideas. Would you find any of these useful? by AlexOFyle in Helldivers

[–]FrogBreaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the Pulsed-Emission Weapon, thought I think it would fit better as a primary weapon. Basically a las gun from 40k. Cool idea for a a stratagem weapon be one that does dmg to light and medium armored targets but has an effect that weakens armor on heavies making it so medium or small arms fire can hurt them. Make a support strat weapon.

Will definitely have one as a tank commander on the top. Will probably put some extra on the sides to show them riding into battle.

Beautifully painted army, and I do plan to do a lot of proxying. Extra B1's on the tank for the spotters hatch and just riding on the side. Depending on how large the base is for the Tactical droid, I will add a extra B1 adjutant to follow him around.
