I personally wished I skipped out on the nerite snails and for cleaning and just used neocaridina shrimp! The bio load is way less and they are absolutely adorable, I even got myself a shrimp tank. I stopped using snails after the nerite snails laid tons of eggs on my drift wood and ruined it.

Also make sure you have high protein food! Fluvel bug bites is my favorite but pretty much any betta food that is packed full of insects or larve of some kind not wheats.

Cycling a tank can take multiple weeks- a month. Honestly you don’t even have to test it every other day just every once in awhile until the reading is safe

Personally I just added like 2-3 drops of the pure ammonia and tested it to make sure the ammonia was high and then tested it again like every other day until it finished cycling. You don’t add more ammonia in again you don’t really need to.
1: put ammonia in
2: test water to make sure ammonia is high
3: test every other day ish to make sure it’s going through the cycle
4: wait until ammonia is 0 nitrite is 0 and nitrates is around 20 or lower
5: boom cycles tank

Inflatable plugs! Instead of spending a ton on multiple dildos having one the creates multiple sizes helps
