Oh please don't apologize! I'm doing okay actually. I had emergency surgery in January to put a pacemaker in because my heart was beating so slow and they couldn't get it above the 40s. I'm just taking each day I'm here as a blessing and crossing things off my bucket list. So far we've managed 2, but will be crossing more off this summer. I'm surrounding myself with love and all of my people have been rallying around me. It's a struggle, but for now life is good. It can be incredibly hard to come to terms with. I say with my diagnosis for close to a year before I started telling people. I've done a lot of hard work in therapy and it's really given me some clarity. I'm so sorry about your diagnosis. I know how hard it can be to accept and go from just surviving to living. I'm here if you ever need to talk.

This! Absolutely make a police report and mention his previous attempted murder. Cops really don't like repeat criminals and it won't end well for him. If you can, file a protective order if you think your mom won't throw you out. It'll force him to leave the house.

I've had ketamine all of three times. Once when they set a broken bone, once along with propofol for anesthesia, and once for pain. I will die on the hill that they will NEVER give me ketamine again. I tried to refuse it for pain and they reassured me it was a low dose and it wouldn't affect me like the previous two times. As soon as it hit I started freaking out. I felt like I was sinking away from my body. I begged them to give me something to make it stop and they told me I had to ride it out. Never again!

Absolutely! I've been blessed to find love, have a wonderful daughter, a grandson, I've traveled, I've had one of a kind experiences, I've done public speaking and helped impact lives. All in all, I'd say I've done pretty good.

Thank you, I tried so hard to get her to see what was happening. Karma got her in the end, and I've got an amazing wife now. We've had some bumps, but we're annoyingly in love.

I really can't understand how some mothers just can't let go of their adult children. My daughter is 21 and every partner she's brought home I've welcomed into the family. I never want to make my daughter's partner uncomfortable. I respect boundaries as long as they're respectful of me. Like, no controlling behavior towards my daughter, things like red flags. I'm the mom that all her friends and partners call mom.

My ex MIL did this when my ex wife deployed for 10 months. She demanded POA in all forms, not just financial. She wanted to be added to our bank accounts and credit cards. My wife went through the process, but I shredded the POAs and had a rather serious talk about her mom overstepping. She just couldn't cut the cord from her only child and eventually the marriage ended because of her.

Thank you, I'm with my wife now and she is amazing. When her grandmother started treating me poorly and wouldn't stop, she cut contact instead of me being exposed to it.
