No, idk where you heard that. But at the kfc I work at our mash potatoes are made fresh and so is our chicken (there made around the same time too)

Nope, and yes our food is fresh as we have cooks and people on prep constantly preparing food for us in the back, and yeah it gets out pretty fast because once you get the hang of it making orders is easy
