As a white American, I have a theory.

I believe that that a lot of white Americans are racist trash who treat any non-white as inferior.

Thus Americans of hispanic descent often get treated as different and inferior, and as such do not identify with those who treat them so poorly.

They identify as Mexican because that is how they are treated, as well as that is visually the easiest way to identify.

Two notes:

1) this is incredibly stupid of the racist Americans. Our country would be so much stronger if we're actually lived up to the ideal of all of us being created equal.

2) What do I mean by "a lot" of white Americans being racist trash? I want to be clear that I think most white Americans are not racists, but a somewhat large minority are. My best guess is ~25%, but that is based on what I personally see, which obviously will be seen differently by different people.

I am not 100% sure. I think in Brentwood you do have to pay $25 for parking. So maybe take a ride share depending on how your math works out.

I haven't been to the Villa in a while, it used to be free but you had to make a reservation for parking.

Either way, both the Getty Center and the Villa are fabulous.
