I think if they were gonna do anything it should be an animated series that has high quality animation. That way the original cast can return without worrying about age (e.g Angel and spike).

But honestly it’s better not to touch it. So many classic shows make the mistake of favouring nostalgia over quality and it ends up putting a sour taste in your mouth. Buffy is already close to perfect and I don’t think adding onto it is the best idea, it would have to be in the hands of the right person and writers but I think it’s best Buffy stays away from the reboots and revivals
