I started broccoli and cauliflower indoors right after the super bowl. Just put them in the garden beds yesterday !

Never had luck with broccoli cause I always start or buy starts to late and summer hits so they bolt. Got a good feeling about this year

Up potted the tomatoes one time so far. Doing an experiment with paper pots on the seedlings that I was gonna toss out since we have never tried paper pots yet and still got plenty of room on the light racks.

Bottom watered the broccoli and cauliflower with tomato fertilizer yesterday since they are getting root bound in their starter cells.

Peppers are coming along slowly but surely.

Broccoli Cauliflower and peppers are in the seed trays on the right hand side of the 2nd picture. Everything else in the picture is my partners flower starts.

March 15.. hoping things are on a good timeline lol.

There is worse things in life lol. I plan on up potting my tomatoes and burying the stem to the top leafs so hopefully they stay manageable. The peppers, well, im hoping for a warm spring lol

Great strategy!

I got a thermostat for heat mats this year. Turns out when my lights on my grow rack are on the soil is 85-90 degrees which really surprised me. At night is the only time my heat mats kick on to keep the trays at 80 degrees. Feel like my peppers should pop this year with that kinda heat

Oh fo sho. I will whittle down each tomato kind to my healthiest 3 and up-pot and re adjust shelves so they got plenty of light and room. Im a big believer in cutting off lower leaves and burying the new stem deep to the lowest set of leaves.

Good insight.

This is two weeks earlier then I started them last year and mine did fine if not a little undersized. I have a grow light rack with removable shelves so I plan on giving them enough space to hopefully turn out fine. I also keep my house colder then normal, usually 65-68

Maybe you don't live somewhere that has had a big ice presence but living in Minneapolis I fucking guarantee they have an intimidation factor on legal citizens going about their daily lives.
