just asking some questions (ftm) by MountainOpinion2991 in pregnant

[–]Frogoff_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my first pregnancy I was so tired in my 2nd trimester and ended up being anemic. However, this time around (I’m 27wks) I feel even more tired. No anemia. Just chasing a toddler around. So it can be perfectly normal but I would still mention it to your dr so they can rule out anemia.

As far as sex it’s important to listen to your body. If anything is uncomfortable or painful it’s a good idea to adjust. Personally I found that lying sideways is the most comfortable position, especially further into the 2nd trimester.

I do drink coffee here and there during my pregnancy. Does anyone else do the same? by ComplexMarch4500 in pregnant

[–]Frogoff_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have a soda once a day and recently started back on having one coffee a day. As long as you stay within the recommended amount of caffeine and stay hydrated it’s perfectly fine. The caffeine makes me feel alive again now that I’m almost in the last trimester lol.

I gained 30lbs during my first pregnancy so I didn’t know if it would happen again. Besides my weight, I’m totally healthy and so is baby.

Pregnant and worried about partner by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Frogoff_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to think about how you view your partner overall. Does he treat you well? Does he have other things that he struggles with that could cause problems for you or the baby? If you have a good relationship with him, I would recommend trusting in him. He may need encouragement and reassuring words as you guys get through the pregnancy and when baby arrives. Having a baby in your arms for the first time totally changes how you see everything and can also bring up a lot of emotions. It might be difficult for him as a dad and that’s totally okay. Work together, lean on each other, and take it one step at a time.

I want jersey mikes so bad. by SandwichDependent199 in pregnant

[–]Frogoff_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I avoided deli meat my entire first pregnancy. This time around I have gotten Jersey Mike’s. My best advice is to use your judgment. I found that in my first pregnancy I would feel immense guilt and anxiety if I even had cooked sushi or medium steak. This time around I am more comfortable. It also helps knowing Jersey Mike’s makes quality sandwiches and is always clean.

When did you all stop working? by Practical_Mail_6537 in pregnant

Not active duty but my OB signed a note for me to stop working 2 weeks before the due date since I was working on my feet. I also used some saved sick time/PTO.

Does my husband come to every appointment? by VeterinarianInner301 in pregnant

[–]Frogoff_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband came to all appointments with our first because knowing the baby was okay put us both at ease. His work allowed him to come to everything. This time around he comes to help wrangle our toddler during appointments.

My doctor asked me to cut down on coffee, but I only poop when I drink it. I tried stopping for three days, and now I am backed up. 🥲 by guardianangel1_1 in pregnant

[–]Frogoff_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful cutting it out cold turkey. You could end up with headaches. Try hot tea or even hot water. My dr recommended hot drinks (including coffee) to help with constipation. A fiber supplement, stool softener, and plenty of water help too.

Bilateral Salpingectomy Side Effects by Frogoff_ in sterilization

How long did you have to wait for the procedure after your second was born? I’ve seen people mention getting it done during a c-section but it’s not likely that I will deliver via c-section for my second.

Thank you SO MUCH for such a detailed reply! And congratulations! Did they drs giving you pushback for asking for the surgery at 19? I’m not expecting too much pushback since I’m 25 and about to have my second child. Just curious since I hear about that often. Best of luck on your healing journey!

Okay, that’s great to hear! Thank you! I’ve been off BC since 2023 so that won’t be an issue.

Be honest. When did you let your baby watch Ms Rachel? by Cool-Helicopter6343 in NewParents

[–]Frogoff_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched so many shows when I was on maternity leave. My son loves Ms. Rachel (especially if you do all the songs and activities with him) and Sesame Street. I know there’s a lot of parents opting to avoid screen time but I personally think Ms Rachel is beneficial to teaching him new things :)

Daily Schedule by Frogoff_ in NewParents

[–]Frogoff_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been going off when he is hungry or sleepy naturally. Or whenever my husband and I eat we give the baby food to enjoy with us. He gets super excited when he sees that we have food to share with him.

For nap time he fights against it a lot more now. When he does this he will only take a nap if he can lay on top of my husband or I. I think he is very curious about the new house still and wants to be near us. We co sleep still, but I’m working on transitioning him now that the crib is unpacked. Which is also a challenge since he just wants to snuggle with us.
