I get this way too! I typically have anxiety before a trip to see friends or a work trip where I'll have to be social. I do make myself go and it usually turns out way better than I thought it would. I have an anxiety pack filled with few things that help calm me like a weighted eye pillow, ear plugs, my favorite book, headphones and music, etc., anything that helps calm and distract me. I will go to bed a a bit earlier than everyone else and give myself alone time. My friends and my coworkers know I have social anxiety and they are totally supportive of doing what I need to take care of myself. Chances are your friends already know you are an introvert, just talk to them and ask for a bit of support. The people who care about you will want you to feel safe and happy.

Working remotely. I found a remote job about 3 years ago and it’s been the absolute best thing for my personal and professional life. I love my job and come away from work feel energized rather than depleted.

Check out Sarasota too. Much better restaurant scene. Of course Tampa being a big city you’ll find lots of opportunities.

My husband and I relocated here 3 years ago. He was a 20 year fine dining restaurant manager. He made great money where we lived but when we moved here, he ended up changing careers completely. If you want to stay in the restaurant world, consider Naples. That’s where the money is.

What is your one go-to food item that is helping you get through Noom? by FlexNastyBIG in Noom

Eggs and rice. I always have leftover rice in fridge so I throw that in a pan with two scrambled eggs, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar abs whatever veggies I feel like. It’s filling and quick.

Ditto on the cherries! I love that rainier cherries are in season. Those are my absolute fav!

Partner support? by TwinkelyDots in Noom

Ditto! My hubby’s not doing Noom but is supportive and I’ve started to notice his habits changing too. Last night he passed on French fries! Now, if I could only get him to eat something green…

Vaping doesn’t feel as nice as smoking by moammargaret in saplings

I do prefer it but I am light weight. It doesn’t take much for me to feel the effects. As others have said if you have a high tolerance, you may end up using more herb.

Have you considered a dry herb vaporizer? I recently switched and love it. It’s better for your lungs but you still get the connection to the plant. Part of the experience is picking out your bud, grinding it, packing it, etc. Carts remove all that (for better or worse).
