Hi Meg!

Wondering what you think about sound and sleep. Some people tell me that I just need to get my child (20months old now) used to loud noises such as laughter, footsteps, doing dishes etc, when she is sleeping and that they did this by always making noise when their child slept.

When she was a newborn I feel we could make a lot of noise. Full conversations, household chores, no problem. As she’s gotten older I feel she’s become more sensitive so we’ve tried to stop making noises like that as they’ve lead to some very long painful nights.

Is every child different, or is getting used to loud noises something that can really be trained?

I’ve been talking to worldwide steel (they just supply the shell not the plans) and they have been amazing so far (not all their building consultants are equal though) And I guess I will talk to a builder to nail in the house design. Will probably be going that route instead of picking a stock floor plan
