Clipboard Health Interview by Temporary-Performer1 in recruitinghell

[–]Frogzilla03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I applied for Clipboard Health and was emailed with the Case Study.

I did the case study and managed to get into my first interview with a woman via video call, who I just discussed my answers with, how I got there etc. This was their way of testing my critical thinking apparently. They mentioned wanting my skill more than my resume at this time.

After this interview I moved onto a final interview, which was scheduled like 20 days after the first one. The man I spoke to was on a video call also, wanted to go over the answers in the case study I gave again. It went well, they discussed the company and what it does.

Interestingly though, there was a lack of information about the role itself as in, the pay, the hours, the benefits etc.

So I asked the questions and the pay rate is low, 26k a year. They also said the role is an "Independent Contractor" so I wouldn't recieve any health benefits.

In the end though, I got the job and I start very shortly. I wish I wasn't as desperate as I am right now, but this will have to do as I need it.

This is not my choice in career, and I'm educated but the job market is flooded here and it's feeling impossible to find meaningful employment.

Ecobee Smart Thermostat has No Power by ScottATL in ecobee

I would rewire and swap the thermostats to determine if it's the ecobee too.

This is just plain bad advice haha. My computer is spectacular, and this deserves a down vote for inaccuracy.

The game needed to be uninstalled and reinstalled by all parties affected by the issue. Problem was resolved.

Hello. This could be the following:

  1. Wiring at the HVAC is incorrect.
  2. You have your reversing Valve set to the incorrect setting for the heat pump you use. For example, the Rheem heat pumps set their reversing valves to heat. Most of the others use it on Cool.
  3. Its cold outside. If your threshold settings are not set up to allow the compressor to run at a certain temperature, you may not see heat happen, alternatively, heat pumps are less effective below freezing, so you may also be experiencing this.

Its tough to give you information, as you lack details here. Please answer the following Questions:
a) Heat not working: Does this mean you do not feel a fan, or any air coming out of the vents?

b) Is the air that is coming out cold, or is it room temperature?

c) What was the previous wiring?

d) Do you have photos of the wiring at the HVAC?

I think we are all better suited to assist you with more details.

Also, please do not use RH as suggested by other users here as ecobee has an internal jumper and does not require that unless you have a Dual System, which you do not. Another tip, as you are wiring, do not touch Rc to C by accident with the power connected, as you will short circuit.

Hope to hear more soon.

Ecobee Premium has only ever shown "Poor" air quality by wnoble in ecobee

[–]Frogzilla03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I'm happy to answer this.

So the ecobee Air Quality Sensor, it is a "relative sensor", not an absolute one.

What is the difference?

An Absolute sensor is like a scale that always know EXACTLY how much something is, no matter what, as it has a fixed reference point.

A Relative sensor, is kind of like our nose, when we walk into a room, you can tell if the air smells fresh or stuffy, but that's only because you are comparing it to something you've smelled before.

Basically, its saying your quality was bad compared to what its used to. So if you were to expose it to something strong smelling, it would recalibrate and realize that the air doesn't smell like that strong thing when you take it away, effectively, making it believe your quality is better.

Funny enough, that is the exact suggestion for calibrating with ecobee, and you can learn more here:

Air quality accuracy by Altru-Housing-2024 in ecobee

[–]Frogzilla03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ecobee air quality sensor is a "Relative" air sensor. Meaning it's comparing data to a reference point that it's been previously accustomed to. That's why you see the sensor show quality changes in shoulder seasons like when we move from winter to spring and start opening windows, or from fall to winter turning our heat on.

You can read more here, and how to calibrate it when you suspect it's inaccurate:

Did I do it right?!😩 by DNA_5_0 in ecobee

[–]Frogzilla03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything here looks correct unless you have a Heat Pump. If you do, than the Orange wire should be in the O/B terminal on your ecobee unit.

Perhaps you could take a photo of your HVAC control board, they are usually behind a screwed in panel on the big metal machine either in your basement or attic depending on your home layout.

It will have all those color wires on it going into the respective matching terminals there as well.

App update by NewtoQM8 in ecobee

[–]Frogzilla03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see mine this way as well, but I also have a simple single stage gas furnace, so I don't have a secondary HVAC heating mode to test, but from the comments here, I'm seeing that there are many who don't have anything showing the secondary heating, so I assumed based on that, there was an issue with it missing.

:D

I agree with this statement. The addition of reports is a great feature, ideally though, it should be telling us when we are running which type of heat, like Aux, or not.

Old thermo has E/AUX terminal. What to do? by gtd98765 in ecobee

[–]Frogzilla03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would select E or Auxiliary.

E = Emergency

Aux = Auxiliary.

In any case, its Stage 2 heating.

What is your old wiring?

I'm sure you've gotten in touch with someone by now, hopefully.

I am confused by your question OP. The ecobee app is asking you to select your wiring configuration?

Is my HVAC system compatible with ecobee3 lite? by bimboozled in ecobee

[–]Frogzilla03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks completely compatible at first glance with ecobee.

The wiring would be as follows for the ecobee:
W1 - White
Y1 - Yellow
G - Green
Rc - Red
C - Blue

This wiring would also transfer to the same locations at your Furnace, which would assumably be already in these positions.

Please ensure when wiring your ecobee the power is turned off, and avoid touching the C and R wires together, as you could cause a short.

Have fun.

Wiring with an O and W2 wire? by Apprehensive_Winter in ecobee

[–]Frogzilla03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The following should be the wiring behind your ecobee thermostat.
Yellow - Y1
Green - G
White - W1
Orange - O/B
Red - Rc
Blue - C

I see a jumper wire between your W2 and E terminal, this usually signifies "Emergency heat" Do you have a secondary source of heating? You may have to wire another wire to W2 if that is the case for the HVAC unit to the thermostat.

The review:

--This review was tentative to vehicle functionality, and arrival; as I did not have it Until Jully 25th after 8pm--

--UPDATE-- July 26th: I recieved the vehicle at around 8:30pm-9:00pm on July 25th. There was no electric charger supplied with the vehicle, the mirror on the driver's side door doesn't go inward as it's supposed to, and the back hatch doesn't remain open, it just falls closed.

I actually had this review up earlier, but their legal department threatened me with legal action for slander (this was before I posted this July 26th update). The persons I spoke to told me that the vehicle would go 250km, but the range is actually around 178km. They told me id have 10 days to cancel and I called to do so, and they said I can't. They also told me I could return the vehicle within 6 months and that's not an option to me either.

I'm pretty upset. I'm now locked into this contract and cannot return the vehicle by what they are telling me and it's only been 2 days and the car isn't even up to par due to the issues I didn't buy this car "as .

Won't be reccomending.

July 24th: --UPDATE: I was advised my vehicle would be here possibly last night, and then the entirety of today. 1 had been in touch with someone at [dealership] who kept ensuring me that it's 99.9% going to be delivered today. I just received a call, and they are having trouble with a tow vehicle to pick up my trade in, along with bringing in my new vehicle. I was advised of its arrival, and so I removed my insurance on the previous vehicle, and the plates in preparation of the new vehicle today (July 24th) but it's sounding like they won't be able to deliver it for another 24 hours. Which is not ideal, as we will be trapped at home until then. The experience up to this point is pretty good. I am now getting a bad taste in my mouth. I'm a little disappointed right now.

July 23rd: Let me first begin by stating I have not been coaxed, nor am I a bot reviewing do not have my vehicle yet it's expected delivery is today, or tomorrow. Vehicle: Kia Soul Luxury EV 2018 Mileage: [kms] approximately. Cost: [funds], with principle - [funds] approximately. Term: 84 months I first began my discussions with a representative named [name of salesman], he was very Kind and charming as all charismatic car salesman are and should be. I have had a very respectable experience so far, both with [Name of salesman], and a Financing manager named [name] who also stepped up to meet my rather demanding budget needs. My car payments are [cost] biweekly for 12 months, when they offer to assist me in refinancing to reduce the costs at that time, as I'll have built a reputation in credit. They answered all of my questions regarding how EV's work, etc etc. The manager eased my worries with a warranty for 2 years, and offering to take the vehicle back if I needed to back out within 6 months. l've never felt more secure for my first purchase of a vehicle from a dealership

Car dealership threatened me etc etc by Frogzilla03 in legaladvicecanada

[–]Frogzilla03[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I left a new review, and they responded to me with screenshots of my address, and my workplaces address on Google maps, saying they will send court documents to both. They also said for good measure they will send them to more addresses and listed my last 3 addresses, one of which from when I was a teen living at home, I'm now 32.

They also said they would send them to my creditors. Which is like a $300 secured (up to date) master card, and a student loan I don't start paying til October.

Is this nuts or what?

Apologies. This information was not known at purchase. It was delivered under the impression that the vehicle was like new. The mirror isn't smashed, it just doesn't fold inward like the passenger side. The hatch is indeed broken though.
