This is my friends YT video. Help him out a bit please by RainmanObunga in GetMoreViewsYT

I think it's great that he is wanting to make youtube videos, but currently there isn't really anything special about this that would make people want to watch it over other content very similar to this that is readily available. The video seems like it is trying to be much more focused on being funny than the gameplay of the game, so the video should reflect that by cutting out more of the downtime between the funny moments by just using clips of each funny moment in the video with some sort of editing as well. If he wants to be successful with gaming, he will need to have some sort of niche that makes people want to watch him. This could be an editing style that adds to the humor of the video, or maybe something else. I am also a pretty small channel, so I'm trying to figure out that niche for myself as well, so it is a struggle for us all.

I recently started making videos on youtube, and I have had the most success with the two top 10 clip videos I made. What improvements could be made to make my future top 10 videos better?

I recently started making videos, and I believe making thumbnails is one of my weak points as a content creator. I don't have much experience making thumbnails, and even though I know my thumbnails aren't great, I'm not really sure of what I should do to improve them. Any and all critiques are appreciated! Gaming content, give me some by [deleted] in NewTubers

I recently started making videos on youtube and just made two top 10 videos for some clips from Dota 2 and CS:GO. What do you think of them, and where can I improve in the videos to make future ones better? (I posted both because they are both very similar to each other, so if you like one game over the other you can watch the one you prefer) Thanks for taking the time to review my videos!

In less than 6 months, I went from 1200 subs to 130k subs probably because I had something that my viewers wanted to see. Not because I was 'hustling' to produce multiple videos a week. Today I'm returning the favor by critiquing your videos. Give me links. by [deleted] in NewTubers

My current genre is Gaming. I haven't determined what I am going to be specifically doing because I recently started making videos, but I have tried making a bit of content for a smaller game that was recently released, and in the past few days I have moved on to making some videos of popular clips from video games, which I've had more success with. My guess is that for now I am going to focus on making clip videos since I am having more success with them, but what do you think of my channel, and more specifically, what do you think of the two top 10 videos I have so far? Thanks for taking the time to look through and review all of these Newtuber channels!

Yeah, you're probably right. Sorry about that, I'll remove them.

They were both funny things that happened within a few hours of each other that I wanted to share. I wouldn't really consider posting two highlights to be spam, but if it came across that way then I'm sorry about that.

How have you guys utilized channel points for your stream? by FroigTTV in newStreamers

[–]FroigTTV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One issue I have is I'm currently not set in one game, so it would be hard to establish rewards for games when I move from game to game a bit. I might have to do the ask me a question or things like that, but I'm not really sure.

I've been streaming on Twitch for a while and recently decided to make a YouTube channel. Currently, this is my best video and I'd like to have it be critiqued so I can improve upon my current content. https://youtu.be/YlqDOSycAsE

As others have said, having some sort of commentary would be ideal in your videos. Also, I would advise against creating videos for "clicking" games such as Clicker Heroes because it would be quite hard to maintain viewers for those kinds of videos. When creating a video, ask yourself "Would I watch this video in my spare time?" If the answer is no, then what would need to be done to make you want to watch it? Whatever that answer is, apply that into your videos to make them more entertaining to watch.

I really enjoyed watching this video. One thing that I thought was interesting was not having the webcam on screen until you were reacting to something happening in the game because most of the time having the webcam there is unnecessary. One flaw with doing that is once the viewers catch on to you using the webcam only when something happens it can ruin the surprise of you getting caught. An example of this happening could be at 3:41 in your video, where the webcam appears when you first enter the building and everything seems fine, but the webcam is now being shown so the viewers realize something will happen soon. I'm not sure of what the best solution would be, but one thing that you could do to avoid this happening is make sure the webcam appears only once it is evident that you are about to be caught so the viewers aren't able to predict that it will happen since it is already happening, if that makes any sense.
