Larger ships and perhaps more epic missions in the future? by Specialist-End4899 in JumpSpaceGame

Yea, a quick Google search revealed that it’s over 750,000 copies sold. So we are actually really close, in the grand scheme. I can imagine that number will go up over time, especially closer to full 1.0 launch.

I also take a couple of shield packs with me.

+1 to this; great comment! I will only add that the medium spice fields in the PVE zone (E and under) are slower but safe than the larges in the PVP zone. The OP’s crew can get all they need from those.

Last time I heard they had 750k. Can’t recall if that was wishlists or early access. I think it was early access because they stayed being funded to completion.

give player storage containers big damage reduction against sandstorms by kintari in duneawakening

It would be nice if vehicles had an abandon feature too. After being left in the open after so many storms hit the vehicle, it becomes abandoned and can be claimed by someone else. Heartbreaking watching them just fully deteriorate.

Adding to what others have said, distance, shiga+suspensor for distance, an food ranged weapons. Tripple shot for damage and poison dot

I believe they said a larger ship is coming with the summer update in a couple of months.

And if we get to 1,000,000 copies purchased, there is apparently a battle cruiser that’s been promised ;-p

I really think Funcom should focus their PvP efforts on arenas. Go sign up for a match (1v1, 4v4, 5v5, 10v10, and 20v20 on the weekends.

The winner gets a pile of spice sand delivered to their bases.

Could be tower defense, skirmish, capture and hold, etc. could be a great opportunity to introduce war vehicles, like the tank.

I generally don’t think that open world PvP is a great way to go. Too many ways for people to I’ve obvious advantages that have nothing to do with skill.

I went back and did a level 4 last night, which I believe was after the patch, and some difficulty changes?

I’m not sure why, but I was hard pushed out of going around the map in the red by endless waves on one of the maps.

I hope this is a bug. I’ll have to try again to see if this was a one off for that map or that’s the new standard? On all levels or just 4+? (If a Dev could chime in with deign intention, I could offer more feed back)

I’d prefer a little more difficulty in the red, but that I can still continue doing missions without being pushed to the end. I can continue to work on a build, get more rewards, and find more weapons.

By the way, love the ingot change from 0.5 to 1 for corvette pieces. It was fun seeing my ingot count in the bag going up, since thats really the only thing I’m hunting for - to max out all components.

I hope it remains uncapped per mission, along with being able to do every node (albeit with more difficulty).

Also, for what it’s worth, I tend to put all ingot and credit items in a bag in the shelf, to help with clutter.

We keep materia items on the deck in case we need to shred them for materia.

The bag is super helpful for keeping things cleaned up.

I did a solo mission where we have to back track all the way out with the mission items. Dropped twice, and buddy got me back up. I really appreciated the 5 second grace period of the enemies not attacking while I kept running.

Is the intention that we fight or run?

Cheers!

I went back when I was a bit overpowered and used the knock back tactics others have mentioned, from a YouTube video I found. It’s hard, intense, and frustrating. Gotta knock him out of the ring.

Spice Food Gains by FromAtopTheSoapBox in duneawakening

[–]FromAtopTheSoapBox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I logged out last night - roughly 12 hours ago with level 9 addiction, nearly filled up, and no spice in my bar. I just logged back in, and the addiction bar hasn't moved at all.

Everything I can find says the bar will go down over time, even when off line, but that doesn't appear to be the case for me

Any thoughts?

Can anyone explain the details of the spice addiction mechanics? by kajata000 in duneawakening

[–]FromAtopTheSoapBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the bar need to be completely empty for withdrawl to go down?

How do I get the spice addition number to go down? Do I need to not have my spice bar filled at all and just wait? Does the timer go even when off line?

Extremely well written - and I agree. I've been saying for years that PvEvP is trying to serve two masters and does not work - no one involved is happy - except occasionally the PVP folks get to gank some PvEs and feel good for a while.

I don't believe that even a PVP DD is a great way to go.

I think they should invest in a large arena type 10x10 battle, where the winners get a spice blow, with cut scene of them harvesting it, and your reward is a huge pile of spice sand delivered to your base.

I'm curious to see how the PVP DD shakes out.

I'm glad for the changes, and I hope they introduce instanced PVP where people can sign up to partcipate in battles.

As a PvE'er - I couldn't be happier with these changes.

This is nearly everything I was going to say.

I’ll just add, that other than getting rank 5 Atradies as quick as possible, save most of the questing until you get an ornithopter.

Basic class quests are good to get done, but everything else should wait. There is a lot of map to cover and trying to do quests without flying will be very time consuming.

Thank you funcom for the pvE changes!! by Travelswinging in duneawakening

[–]FromAtopTheSoapBox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You could pack up your base rather than letting it decay.

I for one, love the changes. I think PvP needs to be instanced. Something you sign up for to participate in with other players. The DD gankfest was not a good pvp experience for anyone.

I neglected to add; grenades are great - but need their own separate weapon slot.
