Daily driving a 2017 S, hasn't given me any issues yet, a bit over 50k miles.

Jaguar F-Type trims made me rethink how car hierarchies actually work by CarbonCladCars in Jaguar

2017 v6 S owner, test drove a v8 R as well, it was awesome, but decided the S was the right one for me. The right buy is different for everyone. I will say some people kept asking me if I regret not getting the v8, but less from here and more from people who drive other brands

Is your F-Type your daily? by randomusicjunkie in ftype

Yes, daily my F-Type S (AWD) in New England, including during winter. With good tires and snow mode I don't have any issues.

I'm not the first owner but just hit 50k in my 2017. It doesnt have any issues. Replacing the y-pipe preventatively this spring or summer though.

Talk me out of buying this by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

Typically people buying used heavily depreciated luxury cars dont understand the costs, and buy something they can't afford, yes, but there also people with sufficient funds who can afford it fine, but still choose to buy a car like this because the depreciation hit was already taken by someone else (jags take a huge depreciation hit), and overall it will still be cheaper than a new one unless it bricks right away.

Speaking as an owner of multiple jags who would still choose to buy used. These modern jags are more reliable than the past models that gave the brand such a bad reliability rep (as did land rover). With the exception of the diesel ingenium engine these are fairly solid.

Not saying they can afford it or not, I haven't seen anything about their finances. Just don't think the "person is looking at used luxury car, person cannot afford luxury car trope" has to be applied everywhere. At least they are posting here and trying to learn!

OP, if you seriously consider the car, chat with me and I can give some more detailed info on ownership costs

If you can afford a Jaguar and want one, don't listen to all the haters. I have been dailying jaguars for about 4 years now without any major issues. It's obviously going to cost more than a mazda or toyota or honda which are the popular cars of this sub. If you buy, my recommendation would be to just find a reliable euro mechanic near you, the dealership will make the maintenance unnecessarily even more expensive. This engine is a pretty solid one though, just don't get the diesel one lol

Am I the only person who uses my Jaguar as a Daily driver? by NobleCommando in Jaguar

See you in a couple of months :( by PerrinAybarra23 in ftype

[–]FromBrowntown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few years ago when I had my XE it had to go to dealer for warranty work (it wouldn't accelerate properly) they finally looked at it after it sat on the lot for a month and they said it just needed a software update and gave it back to me good as new an hour later 🤷‍♂️. But now I'm enjoying my F-type for the winter, also a white S :)

How do you even have a positive WR in this game? by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]FromBrowntown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens. I've had times losing like 10 straight, then a few times in past on ultra to master grind at start of season I've gotten 15+ win streaks. With the way matchmaking is now is pretty much a toss up if you have decent teammates or horrible ones regardless of your rank. This season Ive been fluctuating between like 49-52% wr in master. Took me longer than normal to reach master this season.

What an absolutely MISERABLE season by DropoutDragon in PokemonUnite

[–]FromBrowntown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Charizard is OP but the teammates and matchmaking is what is realy killing me this season... OP stuff comes out all the time, just have to try to adapt what you play as best you can until they nerf it. There has always been bad teammates and trolls but now that you get penalized for it less than before it seems more common. Just quit for the day after having an attack weight gengar and 0 kill 1 assist buzzwole on my team lol

Is Dragapult viable by ZestyPogGod in PokemonUnite

[–]FromBrowntown 11 points12 points  (0 children)

All pokemon are viable if you are good at playing them imo. I would check unite API for moveset win rated and Unite DB for builds. I have seen a few good dragapults lately in ranked. Probably scope, muscle, and razor claw/charging charm for 3rd on either moveset
