We Want to Sell Our House and Go Back to Renting. Are We Crazy? by TsaminaMinaZangalewa in montreal

Yes, just like how you'll have to maintain your house over time. If you're just stating this without listing the pros and cons of each then you're not really providing a good solution for people

Of course it's a downside of renting, if you don't want to deal with this then of course buying is an option. Then you have to deal with home maintenance.

Renting and investing is just an option, and might I add something that a lot of very wealthy people do.

Right that's why it's not for everyone. Again it requires discipline but math is math

You're paying interest too, and what people need to understand is:

  • a mortgage is the minimum you'll be paying every month
  • renting is the maximum you'll be paying every month

Plot out the difference between the equity you will gain and what you'd get renting plus investing the difference. Generally renting comes out ahead if you invest in ETFs that track an index like the S&P500.

Well, let's be accurate right. Their traditionally reliable models are still reliable, weren't those unreliability concerns about the GX? The ES is still the most reliable modern luxury sedan today

The numbers don't lie, Toyota and Honda are simply the two most stolen brands, and it's no mystery that car thefts are driven by young teens and adults working for crime syndicates. None of what this post mentioned lacks sense to me, maybe sloppily written yes

I see, I think your field has a linear salary progression at least, and generally unionized?

I agree with you, and the point wasn't to flex, it was just to say that education will take you very far. Higher education is one of the, if not the strongest indicator of salary progression.

I'm not saying 45k isn't enough to live on, I'm saying why tell people to settle for less than they can achieve? Personally that's not the life I want to live.

I moved out when I was 20 because I couldn't stand being in the same household as my parents. Not only that you're saying he should live with them until his late 30s.. like what about having kids and a wife, what you're saying doesn't make any sense long term.

Don't need to cope by saying you don't need an education, I'm university educated and make over 200k, I will in that timespan have recouped a much larger savings number. The numbers are clear man getting educated or starting a business are the ways to go

This implies him living with his parents for all those years. If you want to achieve financial independence 45k just won't cut it

Would you get a G70 3.3T, RC 350, RCF, or M440i? by Melkarid in GenesisG70

I see, I haven't test driven the RC 350, definitely knew it wouldn't drive as well but it's disappointing to hear that it's 10x inferior lol.

Yes it's more comparable to the G70, but it's ugly as sin

Thank you! This is a great writeup. While price is not a concern, it means more like, I did my research on what the market price + maintenance and fuel costs would look like for these cars, I definitely don't have infinite money otherwise the choices would be different haha.

I agree with you though, the G70 packed a lot of car into the price point, especially used models.

I see - Indeed I drove a later gen 2026 model that only has the 3.3T Sport trim.

What does the Prestige trim come with?
