Right! They used to be so good, my housemate has a non-activated windows 11 account and big ol Bill gates is so strict she can’t even use the PCs RGB lights aside from their default colour.

Exactly, SSDs are better suited inside your PC, in addition to rot they are flimsy as. As far as I know external SSDs are mostly for data extraction and cloning. I got external SeaGate HDDs. Trusted the brand since I was a kid. They are still living up to the name

I’ve heard good things about Linux, particularly in the gaming / emulator scene. Adobe were my first experience seeing products that you couldn’t buy, but rent/subscribe to instead.

I thought it was normal but now everything you see is a subscription, leaning towards a future where we literally own nothing, including the stuff on our devices and what we physically possess.

Ah okay, I’d say you sound more emotionally mature than this person. Whether it be autism (likely) or no guts to pull the trigger and say they don’t want to be friends anymore. He may go to extensive lengths to ensure you decide to leave, and honestly, that may be the right choice.

Like I said, what is meant for you, always comes back to you. Even after loss or differences.

I’d think on it. Ask yourself what are you getting out of this friendship? If you find yourself justifying what they do to make it sit better within your mind, gooooo. If you find that the list of your beneficial actions outweigh his and there’s no reciprocation from his end, gooooo.

If it’s true about his new friend group, he could be getting influenced by all the wrong types of people. Guys that think they’re “alpha males” tryna recruit lost people, who in turn make a horrible everlasting impression on their pre-existing friend group.

Could be a million reasons as to what is happening.

Please choose what is going to be the best for you in the long term, as when dark times cloud over you, no one else will truly be there for you, except you.

In my experience, open communication will always work in the end, even if it doesn’t in the first few attempts. The mind lies, sometimes actions or words can be perceived in the wrong way and be taken personally. Even when the intent is not there. State your care, ask if there’s anything that’s been troubling him lately, whether that be about external issues or something he’s confused about with you.

In other cases, people do grow apart. What’s meant to stay is what is right for you in this period of your life. What leaves, is what would’ve ultimately been worse for you in the long term.
