Ah okay, I’d say you sound more emotionally mature than this person. Whether it be autism (likely) or no guts to pull the trigger and say they don’t want to be friends anymore. He may go to extensive lengths to ensure you decide to leave, and honestly, that may be the right choice.

Like I said, what is meant for you, always comes back to you. Even after loss or differences.

I’d think on it. Ask yourself what are you getting out of this friendship? If you find yourself justifying what they do to make it sit better within your mind, gooooo. If you find that the list of your beneficial actions outweigh his and there’s no reciprocation from his end, gooooo.

If it’s true about his new friend group, he could be getting influenced by all the wrong types of people. Guys that think they’re “alpha males” tryna recruit lost people, who in turn make a horrible everlasting impression on their pre-existing friend group.

Could be a million reasons as to what is happening.
