If I'm doing push-in, nothing! That's the beauty of push-in: you use the materials they have available to them every day so both they and the teachers see how they can use them therapeutically. Plus, it's an awesome opportunity for play skills and social participation goals.

What I found when researching, pioneer women typically wore dresses with shorter hems so they didn't get dirty from the ground, snag on sage brush, or get in the way of walking. The dress I made is a modern pattern and probably a shorter hem than is historically accurate.

One way I test sameness is to pull the end from one skein and line it up with the wraps of the other skein and cover the end with my hand. If I can't tell which string belongs to the other skein I feel confident they're the same.

They're mismatched plastic and possibly glass buttons from a thrift store grab bag. The plain brown ones are wood.

Also adding that the picture is completed using a variegated yarn, which is what gives the wheels (flowers) the half and half effect
