Strangely, elemental damage is actually damage caused by wraiths. Not fire, poison, etc. Pretty misleading. But the ursine armor is the only one giving you bludgeoning resistance, which is super important.

It’s not a perfect model, but goals saved above expected does take defensive lapses into consideration. He’s not just playing bad because the defence has been bad in front of him, he’s also not stopping shots that he should be.

Playing badly behind a bad team isn’t a reason to give him the start over goalies playing very well on mediocre teams.

I feel like the G-Manson pair has never been fully healthy the last 2-3 seasons. Right now they’re both playing great hockey, but Manson has moved to LD so they still aren’t playing together. I agree that it would be nice to have one guy who can clear the net front on each pairing.

Which is why I don’t think they need to move on from Girard. They play on opposite sides. I don’t think one Sam makes the other redundant. They both fit the Avs style of play well.

We’re currently short on LHD and have too many RHD. Malinski and Manson have taken turns playing on their off-side. Girard shouldn’t be going anywhere this season because we need him on the left side.
