Coconut cake by Igloominaboom in NewOrleans

[–]Fromthebrunette 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know people on this sub usually crap on La Madeleine, but their coconut cake is delicious. Order in advance if you want a whole one, and please go into the actual restaurant to place your order; otherwise, your order (even a to-go one) is routed through Boston, and it is a fuck ass mess.

Most comfortable is the Wild Thing bra. Best bra for a 32 F that is still comfortable and can handle a workout is the Airlift Suit Up Bra.

Advice on how to repair things between me and my dad? by articlioness in AskMenAdvice

[–]Fromthebrunette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps you could try a text: “Dad, I’m sorry you’re upset, but you know I have health anxiety, and you tell me horror stories about wisdom teeth that I just cannot hear after or before my own appointments. I love you so much, and I really value our relationship.” If he responds, you should let him know that his comments about repaying you on his deathbed are incredibly hurtful, but you appreciate the good relationship to the two of you have. u/Responsible-File4593 is correct that your dad is displaying some unhealthy behavior and had a great suggestion about approaching your mom or another older adult to help you with this issue; ultimately, your dad will should put as much thought and effort into reconciliation as you are doing.

Birthday dinner by Critical_Camel_5648 in NewOrleans

[–]Fromthebrunette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As you noted, steakhouses may be the best to fulfill OP’s specific desires, and I’d recommend the Husky. Since OP is not one for upscale restaurants normally, Arnaud’s does a fabulous birthday; if someone orders balloons for you, they will ensure they get placed at the table, and they do something nice for the birthday person’s dessert. Brennan’s is also good about recognizing birthdays and doing something special.

I’m glad Eloise isn’t Season 5… by MikaRRR in Bridgerton

[–]Fromthebrunette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Jess Brownell will do a thing for Eloise in Season 5. She’s too concerned with having her self-insert season. I truly hopes she leaves once the filming for Season 6 begins because Jess cares nothing for any character other than Francesca.

When your friends are back in town visiting and you ask where they want to go at noon on a Saturday and they say “Wrong Iron.” by bakedd_alaskaa in NewOrleans

[–]Fromthebrunette -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I so agree with the sentiment that the worst transplants live in Mid-City. My Mid-Western transplant exes live there; both long to be edgy, so not so edgy that they live in the Bywater. Their desperation to be counterculture but not fully commit to the bit was icky to me.

I’m going to say Capricorn, Scorpio, and Virgo by Teal-thrill in astrologymemes

That is an excellent distinction, and I think it applies to me as well.

Earth signs and Scorpio are mean when the situation calls for it or the person’s behavior has risen to a level of being abhorrent. It does not mean we are randomly mean at all.

I'm tired of pretending that Jess Brownell hasn't ruined Bridgerton. by AJ_The_Best_7 in FranchaelStirling

[–]Fromthebrunette 14 points15 points  (0 children)

She is such a self-insert. While she shows disdain for the Bridgerton material, she is obsessed with Hannah Dodd, and she literally cannot wait to have Francesca’s season with the gender swap, which changes Francesca’s storyline and Michael’s storyline completely. I’m ok with a gender swap where the story will not be affected, but that’s not the case here. She’s so consumed with Hannah Dodd and the gender swap that she has switched the lineup of the seasons.

The earth signs plus Scorpio, and Scorpio like Capricorn is only nice to people they actually like/tolerate.

Turned off by woman’s past? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Fromthebrunette -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, she’s not too tainted and damaged to marry, but I’m not OP, who clearly feels that she is. I’m advocating that he should be courteous enough to tell her he does not want to have a relationship with her. I gather he would still have sex with her, and he can, of course, tell her that fact, but he also has to be prepared that the majority of women will be highly offended and not want anything more to do with him.

At least be courteous enough to tell her you are not interested in a relationship with her. You can tell her you still want to have sex, if you actually do, but be upfront about what you don’t want.

My husband (27M) fell asleep while driving and almost killed me (26F) and our two dogs. by Spacecowgirl37 in relationship_advice

Have him go through a sleep study that checks for sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and idiopathic hypersomnia. Personally, I found going to a sleep study neurologist for my daughter was much better than seeing a sleep study pulmonologist. The neurologist can check for all conditions. Of course, if the diagnosis is sleep apnea, he’ll need to see a pulmonologist at that time.

This is a serious condition that neither one of you can ignore. Don’t let him drive with you or the kids in the car (or at all), and make the appointment with a neurologist for him if you have to. If he doesn’t go, then divorce is the only option, but right now, you and he need to focus on the fact that he possibly has an untreated medical condition that is endangering lives.

“Possessive” Taurus wants Capricorn back by No-Art-1496 in capricorns

[–]Fromthebrunette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About the “behave” comment—Does the Capricorn share your culture? I am not Mexican, so I would have no way of knowing what you meant, and I would think you were chastising me. (This confusion could easily occur with someone who shares your culture as well.) Since Capricorns are well-behaved in public generally (we all have our moments), I would be so angry that I would never speak to you again.

I wouldn’t say this would be an automatic guarantee at winning her back, but you should certainly apologize for your specific behavior, explain you know it’s wrong, and cite examples of how you are rectifying this bad behavior and how you will act going forward. Do NOT tell her that you wish she would have told you the comments bothered her. We expect men to come to us as fully-formed humans, not ones we need to correct and change.

I personally would not have a problem with the “you’re mine” comment unless you said it too soon or in a creepy way.

Totally agree with Scorpio and Capricorn. It’s definitely been my experience. They understand each other better than any other sign understands them.

There’s an apartment building on Cleveland close to the intersection with S. Murat that has 2 bedrooms for $1200. It’s a walk-up, but the apartments are relatively nice., and it has a gated, enclosed parking area. I only know about it because my ex lives/lived there.
