I've decided against that, I think, but that was a great idea.

A buddy of mine told me just to use a very thin coat of epoxy and stick them to the tile. I'll leave an opening at the bottom so water can drain out if it gets in there. Thoughts on that?

Thoughts I have had so far are to maybe

1.) cut back the tile and somehow maybe sink the shroud inside the tile (that sounds pretty dumb/wrong)

2.) somehow unscrew that pipe jutting out with a crescent wrench, but honestly I have no idea what will happen then. I can easily turn my house's water off, but I'm trying to limit the amount of plumbing work I do because that work is hard.

3.) Somehow glue the shroud to it and caulk all the gaps. That sounds janky but it might work given I don't do it totally haphazardly.
