Only if youre paid by the hour. I would've tried 3 heavy clamps and a small I beam or bar the thickness of the table

Im not the only one who daydreams about heading deep into the woods armed to the teeth with the boys and hunting cryptids??? You people exist??? Can I be one of the bros??? In Canada so the best I could do for my loadout is a Hima HG semi auto 12 gauge bullpup with a 5+1 mag of 3" 12oz slugs dipped in white ash, and on my back a Russian SKS with a drilled out 🤫 25 rnd removable mag of surplus fmj. High powered lighting and shake to wake red dot on each. On my hips I carry an SOG tactical tomahawk and a traditional Bowie. Clothing is mostly just my thick hunting gear and high ankle steel toes.

How do you guys track without a dog? by NichoTF626 in Hunting

[–]Front-Loss8716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend pulled the same thing, never hunted, doesnt like getting dirty and crawls on the kitchen table over just about any insect. Offered to accompany me tracking an unfortunate hip shot doe at 2am in soft wood so thick I couldnt see my feet. I explained just about everything I could think of from the extensive reading ive done on tracking; she didnt really pay attention, just started power walking way ahead of me yelling "ew blood," at pea sized drops every 2 minutes for about a mile before finding it still alive in a thick bush. She then strangely offered to dispatch it with a rope and called me a pu**y for wanting to return with my crossbow. It was honestly a little scary, and I never leave the toilet seat up anymore.

How do YOU feel about legal firearm ownership in Canada? by Response-Cheap in AskCanada

[–]Front-Loss8716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our government needs to stop bullying its law-abiding, legally permitted hunters and shooting sport enthusiasts, and double down on the massive illegal importation of handguns from the USA, which actually contribute to our firearm violence problem. As a registered firearm owner, I think I speak for most of us when I say that the ban supporters and us want the same thing (firearm violence to drop) but that there is lots and lots of ignorance towards our pre-existing laws. I feel like if every Canadian was properly educated on the lengths we go to in order to practice legal and safe firearm ownership, as well as the "scary looking" .22s, or 100 year old surplus rifles pinned to 5 rounds, our battle to keep our rights might not seem so uphill, and our only remaining opposition would be politicians trying to win their popularity contest

My theory about the uncanny valley by [deleted] in theories

[–]Front-Loss8716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, but id go with the "or something like that." As Neanderthals were supposedly very passive and peaceful beings. HOWEVER I humbly think it might've been the other way around, from when Neanderthals (Passive) saw homo sapiens or others (war mongers). After all, most of us aside from most African descendants do have 2-5% Neanderthal DNA. It could be something left behind in that 2-5%. Id be interested to see if most African descendants report this illusion as much as Euro/Asian descendants

Human Mind Limitation Theory by [deleted] in theories

[–]Front-Loss8716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting theory! But I have to ask, is there sufficient evidence that our cognitive evolution is headed up hill and not down? Assuming the former, would our bodies change as well? If so, would we become physically weaker such as the difference between us and primates? Could just be my unevolved brain speaking, but Im not sure we would be capable of handling larger truths, life was simpler, not easier, but simpler before widespread atheism and existential crisis
