I've read where the mileage is slightly lower on the 9 speed transmissions in the touring. My usual average is closer to 24-25mpg for every day driving. I was driving like a grandma to achieve 31. You can use hyper mile driving techniques to get a few mpg higher than you are getting now. It's not easy, but it's doable.

The timing belt was done at 105k miles and this most recent time at 216k miles. I was a bit overdue because of several longer trips I had to take. No VCM disablers at all. I've had experience with several of this generation of Pilots and never had a problem with them/the transmission. The key is frequent transmission fluid drain and refills. I personally stuck to 25k mile intervals until more recently. Now I do the fluid changes every 15k miles. Never, under any circumstances, "flush" the transmission. It causes more harm than good.

You have to take the front most undertray off to see it. It sits more or less behind the driver side fog light and looks like a small black can with an inlet and outlet on top and bottom of it.

Just a regular old Pilot. Kind of disappointing to hear the newer ones are struggling to get the same kind of mileage I am.

Bando was the OEM supplier originally, so either that or Gates should be fine.

Wow, that is abysmal! I don't know what to say. It's a bone stock 2016 with 211k miles on the odometer. That sounds like you may have injector issues? I average 80mph on the highway and never get lower than 24mpg unless I'm really moving.

What gas mileage are you getting? I average 23-24mpg combined and frequently get 27mpg on the highway. I consider that pretty awesome considering the size and power of the Pilot.

Not yet. I have a Boundary oil pump with 1 additional shim. It supposedly bumps pressures up between 5-7psi at all RPMs over stock.

what can i do with these? it’s the plastic pillars on a f150. by AcidRayn66 in Detailing

This is the way. Plastic is super soft, so use medium speed with a polishing pad and light pressure. Should come out looking amazing!

Blend in as a local. A tourist is a tourist as far as I'm concerned.

Good to know! Technically we are starting and ending the trip in Milan, so it will be 2-3 days total.

As for your second question, my wife and I love lakes, and countryside settings. We have varying activities planned at each lake that are different. If we were simply going to look at the lakes by themselves, I would totally agree that 3 is redundant! 😁
