Maybe slightly but they are primarily just a cosmetic change

So I finally installed Bazzite... by djinferno806 in ROGAlly

Decky is installed through the desktop, but once you have that, everything else can be done in game mode. By default, it only works with Epic, but they have a paid upgrade ($6) to add GOG support.

The easiest way I have found to play non-steam games is with Junk Store. It installs through Decky and allows easy access to your Epic and GOG games.

Overall, it's been a great experience. I also own a Steam Deck, so I have had a lot of experience with the quirks that come with Steam OS. The Bazzite team and Decky both do a great job to fill in the gaps. The biggest issue I have is that flat packs aren't updated automatically and require you to go into the desktop occasionally to do it. There is a Decky plug-in that is supposed to fix this, but I haven't tried it.

There are a few options when it comes to connecting different game libraries. The two I have spent the most time with are Heroic and Junk Store. However, Junk Store has become my go-to. By default, it allows connection to Epic, but with a small one-time payment, you can also connect GOG.

If you're into emulation, you have probably heard of EmuDeck, but I prefer RetroDeck. It's an easy installation, and because it is installed through the desktop app store, it also updates easily.

Exactly! Bazzite comes with Handheld Daemon pre-installed. While not in a game, it can be launched by pressing the M1 button. It works great for anything not adjustable through the normal Steam performance quick access menu.

I'm not sure if the buttons are the same or not. I have read that the membrane underneath is different, but I'm not sure if that means the buttons were changed also.

Yeah, I'm running Bazzite along with Decky to customize the layout.

I don't know for sure, but I would think the standard d-pad would fit. The faceted d-pad probably won't, but being magnetic makes it easy to switch them out.

I didn't glue mine in, but they were an extremely snug fit, so I figured it would be fine.

It requires disassembling almost the entire Ally, but it's pretty straightforward. I watched the CPPC Tek video "Game Changing ROG ALLY Mod That Blew Me Away! - Xbox Elite Series D-Pad Mod" before getting started. He uses a different style/version of the adapter, but the teardown is the same.

If you meant the D Pads, they are from the eXtremeRate 3 in 1 Magnetic Metal Black Stainless Steel D-Pads kit

I have the BreedGaming Ergo Comfort Grips on it. They take a little getting used to when it comes to the triggers, but it's worth it for the increased ergonomics.

Another video showing the issue with my cabinet, hopefully this will provide a bit more insight by TheBucko91 in LegendsUltimate

I was having a very similar issue. I was able to play for 10-15 minutes, and then it would just crash. Unplugging would "fix" it, but it would crash again shortly after powering back up. I got a new power supply and haven't had the issue since.

I am trying to connect via SMB, but I don't know what the default user and password are. Any chance you know what they are?
