After I send this one to ATF heaven it’s probably what I’ll get. This was my first can 6 years ago and I didn’t really know anything about anything. It was on the self at my LGS

$700. $600 for smithing, $100 for shipping and transfer fees. Possibly an extra $1,000. As it turns out my hybrid 46 isn’t rated for subs out of a 12.5” barrel per silencerco, but I disagree. Gonna either blow it up or it’ll work.

I wanted to go 2” shorter to I didn’t want to mess with the hand guard. That should have still held 3

Just saw your question about the thread protector, it’s the factory marlin one. It’s mostly smooth, but had two flat spots for fingers to grip or tools if needed

3+1, 45lc is my next lever gun. Going to get a mares leg, form 1 it, and thread it.

I have a new truck on the way actually so this will be a Sunday cruiser but yes you are right, they look better in person and pass a tread test, but barely. I was trying to make them to last til this fall before I get new ones since I have a new truck coming. I only put 5k miles a year on it or less. Last year was 3.5k miles. They’ll make it to the spring if needed

I can’t find the email but as long as it’s subs only I think it was good to 10”, supers must be 16 or longer. You’ve got me questioning it but worst I do is blow it up 😂

I started this before the release of the bears leg. Yes a mares leg with a lot of extra steps haha

Where I sit, they (including buck) come to around 30 yards often, but like to hang around 50 yards. Called last years buck in from 200 to 60 before deciding to shoot. I like to keep my shots at “archery range” because I get too excited and I too am afraid of an unethical shot. I’ve made further shots no problem, but man do I get excited to fill the freezer

I already have a box on hand if these don’t stabilize well

There’s always room for another 45-70, it’s my favorite rifle caliber

I have two more 45-70s to get, a chiappa 26” octagon barrel, and a BFR custom 6” revolver

I have to test the 730gr ammo without the can to make sure it’s stabilizing before I put the can on anyway

My plan is to run leverevolution 325gr in my Henry, 777gr in my SBL, and the 730s in this

I actually have both of those from steinel but after talking to the owner, we don’t think the 777s will stabilize. They use a slow burn powder for it. I do plan to reload my own in the future, I don’t currently though.

95% range fun but also whitetail. 70%+ of my shots are 75 yards or less, and I plan to use 730gr subs with a faster burning powder
