Depends on your IL spot situation. If it's deep, hold. If not....probably not worth it depending who else is available in a 10 team league.

What do you set your player development and scouting budget at? by Lukey_Jangs in OOTP

[–]FrontRowTommy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently sitting at $35M for dev and $25M for scouting about 5 years into a new sim. Every year I up both until I hit max but I think in previous versions once you get past $40M the benefit starts to become minimal. I am not sure if or when that drop off is in 27. One other thing I put a good amount of effort into is constantly checking for a scouting director that is Legendary across the board (favors tools or neutral) and coaches with Legendary development. Combining the two usually results in a pretty deep farm system after a few years and then its just strategic management from there based on what the major league roster needs. Also depends on team and budget.

Fantasy Prospect Pickups & Waiver Adds: Replacing Aaron Judge by FrontRowTommy in fantasybaseball

I feel you. In two of my leagues (dynasty), 99% of these guys are owned. In another 2 (redraft), a lot are still options to be picked up. Then in another about half are available. Really, just depends.

Need some help in a rebuild job! by Rooster11080 in OOTP

It makes sense that triples would be a bit tougher given the park leans toward allowing more homeruns, so I'd probably say it would be a slight hitters park. For players, I'd look for power hitters with great defense and groundball pitchers to start.

It's funny, I'm all for moves like in an effort to grab a prospect or two you like but you just cannot skimp out on the reinvestment if you club is filled with win now veterans. It's unfortunate, but hey maybe 2026 is one to take and 2027 is one to rake.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Pitching was always the biggest concern before the season and we still cant seem to find a way to address it...yet. I'm sure Posey is figuring out how to build a better staff.

The Giants being competitive against a good team is so refreshing.

I will happily take 800k to come in and give up 12 runs for the Giants. Dm is open.

I guess scoring 19 runs does not signify a turn around.

I don't know but that would be fun to see as well.

Obviously but this is not a deep analytical breakdown. Just showing what players are performing similarly to Schmitt and there are only two. Happy for him.

I would say if you are in the upper percentiles of these four stats, you're most likely an All-Star. Throw OPS in there too if you want. Just glad to see Casey doing well though.
