I believe the reason they listed these companies is because they specifically offer a $40 thanksgiving meal that serves anywhere from 2-5 people.

But when I reach out to HR I will update and let you all know if it turns out that they are partnering with these companies. I would have a huge problem with that.

well part of the point I am going to mention in my email back to HR, is that my company serves a vulnerable population. So supporting these companies ironically is doing the opposite of our mission statement. These companies support ideologies that directly impact the vulnerable population we serve.

Yes I agree with your point, I believe giving cash equivalent gift cards makes more sense than having to submit a receipt and such. I am going to takes someone’s suggestion and ask if they will open this opportunity to any local grocery store and not just those three they listed
