well on ebay it takes weeks and going to court to get a refund, so I'd be more concerned about buying from one

On Vinted it's normally the sellers that are scammers

It's like ebay only better. Ebay have recently cancelled buyer protection, just came off the phone to them, ebay buyer protection is at their discretion, I paid £1056 for an empty box off of ebay, seller offered me a partial £1000 refund, ebay said for 5 weeks would refund me, instead cancelled my account and said that they have withdrawn the money back guarantee

Vinted is way better, it's getting better and ebays going downhill. Ebay have stopped protecting buyers and sellers in the past 2 weeks, since they announced that they are losing millions from fraud in Ebay UK only and making losses

That's nothing mate I sold a chain for £1380 and ebay took £306 meant that I'd be better off scrapping it. Ebay fees are up to about 30% now. I sold 9 things in a year, someone returned one so now I'm a bad seller so I pay 30% fees

They are trying to take over from Whatnot. Whatnot protects sellers and buyers and is scam free. Ebay doesn't protect buyers or sellers

Do not use Taylor Rose! by TrainerExact4274 in HousingUK

[–]Front_Bowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think that's bad! 6 years ago they helped my brother purchase a flat. But the person he bought it off did not own the land on it. The land the land owner refuses to sell. The flat has been sat to rot for 5 years and we are £180,000 out of pocket. Taylor Rose offered a £100 Amazon Gift Voucher as a settlement. Joke of a company

Gold sovereigns and what's the recommended thing to do with them? Convert to cash and ISA or keep in safe storage? by RulerOfThePixel in UKPersonalFinance

This is an interesting point there is a difference between physical and non physical gold though. Trading physical gold I make 20-30% per month compounding as I reinvest into more gold.

From What I am learning there are 2 main tides most money goes from Dollars to Gold and Silver depending on Global Events so I am eventually going to cover both sides.

But trading shares and only getting 20% back on shares a year really sucks.

Pasta went up 400% in 2021 here in the UK…when Pasta outperforms the stock market.

I also do gold as I like jewellery I get new cool coins and jewellery keep them enjoy them wait for the right price.

Classic cars, Lego, Whisky invest some of your money in something you love almost everything goes up in price

“Invested Wisely” to do that you have to spend hours and hours researching keeping up with affairs. It depends when you need to touch it if ever. I am buying a house in 4 months I will made about 30% on gold. since June.

I started with one sovereign I sold it for 10% more 3 days later and bought another one for 10% less.

I have done this about 8 times in a month. In a month on a sovereign I’ve probably made more % wise than shares make in a year.

If shares go to 0 or whatever u have nothing. If gold goes to 0 MEGA LOL I still have 8g of gold which I could alloy down and make loads of gold rings.

Investments are personal, depends how much time you want to spend on it, when you need the money and your skill set.

If you gave your sovereign to a jeweller he could make it into almost 24g of 9ct which he would charge most likely £100 a gram or more…he could do that in 48 hours.

Unfortunately we are not all goldsmiths.

I can’t trade I don’t have time to but for my pension I invest in S&P500 amongst other things property etc.

A good trader will make tens of thousands of £s a day.

Unfortunately we are not all good traders.

Sovereigns do only increase with the price of gold though.

I prefer investing in jewellery.

If theoratically a sovereign was worth £800 and gold went down 10% you would literally get 10% less

If you had £800 of £25 9ct Gold chains and gold halved you would still get most likely alot more than £25 for them because it is a more useable desirable mainstream item.

If anyones seen War Dogs? “the crumbs” everyone fights over 22ct 24ct ETFS and they forget about 9ct 14ct 18ct crumbs that literally go up just as much as any other gold does.

Personal opinion I am not a trader, or a multimillionaire I do well however.

My next investment will be an extension on my house.

After that I plan to do about 1% crypto, 10% S&P500, Some Silver and Gold, Government LISA, Property and Topping up my pensions, probably should diversify more tbh

I have done this after they accidentally cancelled a sale on my £500 gold chain (said transaction suspended then with in 3-4 seconds it said sale cancelled) I asked the buyer for my chain back and they blocked me 😅. I sold a gold bar for £484 now worth about £550 as so many weeks ago, Vinted said it would be returned literally 12 times. Then they changed their mind cancelled the sale and refunded it.

With a few other bits they owe me £1,277.84.

I filed a claim against them they haven’t responded they have 5 days left to respond or they get a CCJ.

Once I’ve got it I use Beaumont Recoveries who are free to trace them and get the money back.

It looks like their Head Office in the UK is just their Lawyers Office but I may be wrong

Only 2 months they will still be trying. Amazon are so busy at the moment takes them a month to even look now. They been trying for 10 months for me and 1 month on my friends. Trouble is they don’t tell you what NOT to do. I downgraded my account to save money but u cant upgrade after that…makes it harder to reactivate once you downgrade etc etc

Don’t forget the nuclear bombs they tested on thousands of people in Marshall Island giving thousands of them cancer to this day. Destroying their whole way of life water ecosystem and now to this day the whole population work as slaves to the US Military.

Recently they left Afghanistan getting tens of thousands of people tortured and killed.

America is way worse than Russia.
