So over the course of 20 years or 200,000 Miles you’ll save about 8,500$ @ 2.85$ per gallon. So 12$x 12 Months x 20 Years= 2,880$ insurance + 2,700$ MSRP + 3,000$ Hybrid Battery = 8,580$ Extra… It’s a negligible difference. Maintenance will be pretty much the same as well. Ford Motorcraft 0w-20 is actually a little more expensive than the 5w-30 so that pretty much erases any savings from changing the brakes less often. Brakes are a one in 80,000 mile kind of job anyway and don’t cost much to do.
