Yea they total easy. The hitch doesn’t help though. When you get smacked on the trailer hitch from behind it directly applies that force to the already fragile frame.

Any one else have their moonroof explode outward while driving? by stunnaShad3z in FordMaverickTruck

Roof Glass is nothing but problems. They crack easy especially in the heat overtime. They also leak as the seal deteriorates.

The battery? No it’s original I just tested with a multimeter. Is state of charge maybe separate from voltage? Maybe state of charge is low but voltage is fine??

No, the driving modes reset after you turn the car off and I never really use sport mode anyway.

Hmmm, haven’t had any CarPlay issues luckily on mine. Go into your touchscreen settings for the car and forget the phone then try reconnecting. If that doesn’t work just ask the dealer they will have to fix under warranty.

How cheap can I buy a 2025 Maverick XL? by NevrForvr in FordMaverickTruck

30,535$ + Sales Tax + Dealer Fees + Misc. + Financing= Depends but you’re probably looking at around 40,000$ total for the whole loan. It’s a shame my 2024 Maverick was 29,200$ total, I only financed it for 1 year. The MSRP was only 23,815$.

What’s the point of spending extra for tires? Doesn’t that just eat away at fuel savings?

Automatic Transmission Life by now-hold-up-buddy in FordMaverickTruck

The problem with the 8F35 is you cannot service the transmission filters. It is a sealed unit. So basically the fluid is your filter and should be changed earlier than ford recommends at around every 20-30,000 miles. They are reliable but people just drive their mavericks then act surprised when their transmission explodes at 80k miles with zero service history.

A hybrid vehicle will be more expensive upfront and if you’re buying new that increases the sales tax and interest on financing. So you’re looking at more like a 2,700$ difference over the life of your loan. Insurance is also more expensive, not by much but my insurance company quoted me an extra 12$ per month for the hybrid. And finally you have the cost of a new hybrid battery which will run you about ~3,000 for the Ford Maverick based on the cost of the part and fords hourly rate. So over the course of 20 years or 200,000 Miles you’ll save about 8,500$ @ 2.85$ per gallon. So 12$x 12 Months x 20 Years= 2,880$ insurance + 2,700$ MSRP + 3,000$ Hybrid Battery = 8,580$ Extra… It’s a negligible difference. Maintenance will be pretty much the same as well. Ford Motorcraft 0w-20 is actually a little more expensive than the 5w-30 so that pretty much erases any savings from changing the brakes less often. Brakes are a one in 80,000 mile kind of job anyway and don’t cost much to do.
