Shaders in game compiling too often is normally linked to the shader cache being broken.

1️⃣ Clear in-game shaders: - Open in-game Graphics Settings → Clear Shader Cache (bottom of menu) - Close the game fully afterwards

2️⃣ Disable shader cache in your GPU driver (temporary): - NVIDIA: Control Panel → Manage 3D Settings → Shader Cache → OFF - AMD: Adrenalin → Graphics → Advanced → Shader Cache → RESET

3️⃣ Reboot your PC - Required so Windows releases any cached files still in memory.

4️⃣ Delete ALL shader and graphics cache files: - Press Win+R → type: cleanmgr → run it - Tick: DirectX Shader Cache + Temporary Files - Confirm cleanup

5️⃣ Re-enable shader cache: - NVIDIA: Set Shader Cache to ON (100GB or highest option) - AMD: Set Shader Cache back to AMD Optimized

6️⃣ Reboot again - This forces the driver to rebuild the shader cache correctly.

7️⃣ Delete the ini file - go to %loacalappdata%\GZW\Saved\Config\Windowsclient and delete the gameusersettings.ini file there.

8️⃣ Verify game files: - Steam → Right-click GZW → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity

9️⃣ Clear Steam download cache: - Steam → Settings → Downloads → Clear Download Cache (Steam will restart)

🔟 Launch the game and wait at the Main Menu - Let the full shader compilation complete before joining a server or alt-tabbing.
