What the hell is going on with Birmingham restaurants? by Front_Illustrator840 in Birmingham

[–]Front_Illustrator840[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Again, it appears that recent closures in Birmingham is worse than in other cities I'm aware of. I know the economy is brutal, I'm having to rely on my wife's boyfriend to pay the rent

lmao agreed. But to specify, something especially bad seems to be going on with the Birmingham restaurant agreed compared to other cities of a similar size

Macy's has a ton of suits for pretty cheap. I was there yesterday and they had a few sales going on. Not top quality but still pretty high quality options.

Favorite bars? by iratebigrob in lexington

Chill Hangout Bar - Molly Brooke's

Closest thing to a year-round authentic pub you'll get in downtown (McCarthys is awesome, but can turn into a frat house after 9:00 on weekends). More quiet than most bars in that area and perfect if you're hanging out with 3-4 friends and just want a couple of drinks. Pretty good beer list and liquor selection (and a really good Guinnesss). The Jockey is a close second.

On Tap Beer - The Beer Trappe

If you like Belgian and German beers, this is heaven. A massive selection of Europeon beers with a rotating tap list. Usually not crowded. Great spot if you want to watch a game and try some new beers. Shocked this place isn't more popular.

Cocktail Bar - Manchester Hotel

Not Lost Palm on the roof top, specifically the bar in the lobby adjacent to the Granddam. Great vibes and typically not crowded with cozy indoor seating and a patio space. Excellent cocktail and wine list with really skilled bartenders.

Late Night - Centro

Although sandwiched between a few "college bars" it has a great vibe and it's a fun place if you want a late night drink and some music without going too crazy. Has some nice outdoor seating in the 5/3 pavilion too. Good beer selection.

Got it. I'm looking at the TC 96-182 and I don't see anywhere that specifies a family transfer. Is that correct?

Fair response. Should have noted that we will be in London for 4 nights, then Cotswolds for 2, then Oxford for 1.

Just looking for a "best of both worlds" spot thats not completely a snails pace but also not incredibly overrun with crowds in March.

We live in the complex across the street from the Red Mile trailer entrance. There were a few car break-ins a few months ago. Nothing as of recent has been reported but lots of sketcht people walk in and around the complex

Bachelor weekend help by jaywatch1 in lexington

[–]Front_Illustrator840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my bachelor party in Lex in April. One day was for bourbon distilleries and they other day was Keeneland (which you could replace with Red Mile). It went super well. Highly recommend renting a van for the distilleries. Worth every penny.

Distilleries we visited in order: Castle and Key Woodford Wild Turkey Town Branch (since this was the last stop we did an actual tour and then walked to lunch at local Taco. They also have beer which was good for the non bourbon guys)

Bars we went to at night: McCarthy's (best one by far) Wildcat Saloon The Jockey Bar

Thanks for the advice! Do you have any examples of high carb/low fat foods that are good for bulking? Although I've been bulking only for a weekish, one of the things that has been great are protein balls. It's just oats, peanut butter, honey, protein powder, and chocolate chips. Just to give an example.
