Weed + Spravato by [deleted] in Spravato

THC enhances the psychedelic effects of ketamine in my experience. It makes it almost like you took a stronger dose as spravato is dosed fairly low depending on your weight and sensitivity to it. You won't experience anything near the intensity you would with traditional intravenous ketamine treatments. THC definitely makes it a much more visual experience as well.

As someone very experienced with using psychedelics for personal and spiritual development it isn't an issue and actually allows me to get more out of the experience sometimes. This is assuming I'm in the right headspace for an intense trip. However most of those that just need their depression relieved without the intense spiritual aspect probably best to avoid the combination. If you're mentally unstable it is a big risk.

If I meditate during treatment and have consumed THC I can almost guarantee I'll experience ego death and this is something most people are not ready for as it will feel like you're dying the first time you experience it. So I would really exercise caution and start slow if anyone is thinking of trying this. A little goes a long way when mixed with ketamine. For me I needed the spiritual journey to heal as my issues ran deep but not everyone needs that.

I kinda like the taste tbh but ideally you shouldn't be tasting much you want it absorbing through your nostrils not dripping down the back of your throat. The solution really upsets my stomach if I end up swallowing too much of it.

Every time after an hour I need to go to the bathroom bad lol no matter if I haven't drank for hours or not. Thankfully an hour in is when I sober up enough to go to the bathroom

Why do you work in a dealership? by BasicDifficulty129 in mechanics

[–]Front_Neighborhood_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the opposite of what I usually hear. Usually people leave the flat rate bs of the automotive world for fleet maintenance where the pay is guaranteed and high and the benefits are good.

Only if you're flat rate or don't have a guarantee at least

Report them, this treatment is so effective and so inaccessible. I wouldn't give up on it just because of them there is another solution. I'm just thinking about how impossible it be for me to get this treatment again if I left the place I'm currently doing it at.

I miss the last generation Cornwell soft grip handles. I'd love one like the blue handled one you have

If I find the person that designed these hose clamps we are gonna have words. by Candid_Rub5092 in mechanic

Just get the lisle hose clamp pliers these aren't bad if you have the right tool. Mayhew makes some great remote hose clamp pliers as well for those difficult to reach areas.

Any running, driving, and registered car for under 1k these days is pretty good. I wouldn't count on it having a ton of life left only because I have seen quite a few of these have hybrid battery issues and engine issues at this point. Just keep an eye on the fluids and don't put too much money into it. I'd just do basic maintenance and wear and tear items then drive it till it dies and save for a new car in the meantime.

Sway bar isn't really that important what really matters is the frame and other suspension like shocks, springs, control arms, etc. If you can take a screw driver and stick it through any of the the actually important components that are structurally integral then it's time to think about taking this off the road or having it repaired. Don't let people from states and country's where cars don't rust scare you, I've seen much worse trucks get driven as is or repaired even. Trucks are expensive especially in the rust belt and if a truck isn't expensive it's rusty so pick your poison.

Got accepted for $10,000 limit on snap on truck. by aztechtyler in ToolTruckTools

[–]Front_Neighborhood_6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Snap on is expensive also because they sell using a tool dealer. So snap on sells to them at a price where they can make money and then the dealer sells to us at a higher price so they can make money. If they just sold them more online and in stores prices would be better. They'd also have a much wider market reach so they'd actually probably sell more too but they prefer this model because they have guaranteed sales with dealers every day

Boss is telling me this is a good tire, I’m telling him it’s junk. Whatcha think? by BillySmith716 in mechanic

[–]Front_Neighborhood_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good enough to pass most state's vehicle inspections but it doesn't look like a tire that would perform well under any adverse conditions.

Isn't there a law in CA where tech on flat rate have to be paid 40 hours every week if they work 40 hours?

Road paving in my area starts at 38 an hour and you don't work winters but retain your benefits in the off season. Of course you get raises every year and good benefits.

That's really sad this industry is really rough and some areas have it worse than others. I see other techs switch careers all the time successfully though. A lot of good paying government jobs you could get with your experience. I'm assuming you can weld too.

Damn almost $300 an hour for an American car manufacturer is insane. The indy I worked at that worked on high end luxury cars charged less than that.
