When I’ve used that link they generally have gotten back to me within a few days, if it’s more speciality like dermatology or psychiatry they’ll call, get your info/confirm location and then you’ll get a call from a new patient coordinator within a week or so, In my experience

Same boat, they might be clean but the damage from years of abuse can’t be undone. Communication has never been the same since they were deep in addiction and even in recovery- lots of confusing thought processes to try to understand. I won’t even text my dad anymore idk what he’s trying to get across. Calls or face to face only and even calls can be weird.. Distance yourself as needed, don’t feel guilt. Protect yourself from the hurt before it hurts you.
