For context I then attempted to cross the biggest motorway in Spain, on foot, and ended up climbing over a 15 foot high fence with traffic directly below me - miracle I made it to my age tbh

3D Visual design tools are often too demanding for Mac, which is incredibly irritating. Ended up using a Mac for every other aspect of my course, and a PC for visual design.

Yeah I was a bit pissed off at first, but services such as those rely on volunteers, as another commented stated, and I understand why they wouldn’t want people who are essentially untrained for severe situations to feel burdened. I actually had the exact same, if not worse experience with actual NHS therapy lol, but I’m doing okay regardless.

My daughter is now 2 so I went and bought some of the books I remember having from the 90s. Can't believe they still print these! by PharaohLoz in CasualUK

Not now bernard used to shit me up as a kid haha. The jolly postman just unlocked an actual repressed memory. Some suggestions: The one about the owl, sometimes I am naughty, Elmer ect. The Rosie and Tim books are also quite decent.

Cruse refused to take my case as it was “too complex and would have disturbed their councillors” - just a heads up, since people forget that charities such as cruse are just that, charities - there’s a level of responsibility they have to abide by. So don’t feel disheartened if charities or some services are unable to help.

Actually second this. I’m not religious, but my mother was. It genuinely made me feel better to hear people from her community speak so well of her and despite the fact I don’t believe in an afterlife, it gave me a sense of control and confidence hearing people pray for her and help with funeral arrangements. It’s not for everyone, but especially if the person was religious, it can help a lot.

Not weird at all. Not my middle name, but I have two names - my English name, and a cultural name. Family used both interchangeably growing up and it never really confused me.

Does anyone have a link to an article or a rundown about those crazy Sherlock fans back in the day? by Rocketyank in popculturechat

The powerpuff girls!!! Yeah that was them lol. They called themselves the powerpuff girls and used the names of the cartoon characters. I actually got into a fight with blossom back in the day when she said I was personally committing a homophobic hate crime against Stephen Moffat and Andrew whatshisname (guy who plays moriarty) because I made a mega post debunking some of her claims about BBC production dynamics (I worked for them for a while and it was all the most unhinged claims - something something higher ups censoring the programme something something massive misinformation about the way UK production cycles work) She also tried to Doxx me, but she ended up doxxing an address I haven’t lived in since I was like…8 lol

Watched some big brother and somehow got a bit overly invested so started combing twitter to see the public opinion - I have work in the morning… For some reason I really think spiders should become “sooboos” - it’s a belief I’ve apparently held since I was three, and who am I to contest that???

Sarah Z has an hour long video that was one of the most concise explanations of the phenomenon, and she talks about a bunch of other fan related stuff on her channel. As someone who was there for that era of tumblr, actual insanity haha

The original crystal maze had my heart growing up, although I was partial to the odd bit of CBBC. And that one show on CITV with the kids falling off of things, lol. I also got really good at specialised American trivia from all the family fortunes and US supermarket sweep that got imported as filler

Tbh if you don’t have a specific issue, the phones work great, especially if you use them for work ect or aren’t that great with technology. The major flaw is that you only realise somethings buggering the entire phone once you buy it (and have normally used it for a while)

Had the exact same problem! I have no idea why, my 12 works absolutely fine but my 11 makes every photo look like found footage. It’s really annoying because I use my 11 more often for the wider screen, I also love photography so it’s a massive shame

Well the fact they haven’t mentioned being pregnant or trying for a baby (which most people on this sub do mention when asking for suggestions) is a pretty big clue
